The thing that held the first game back were the forced motion controls, and even then I thought it was a carpeting good game.

@93BlackHawk93: I played it on the h1tlering 3DS where it was 30 FPS. Beyond that though I have issues with the game design of Country Returns that are still there in Tropical Freeze, just way less prominent.

I figure the first word was included as it's just a variation on a more common word. As for the second....well, I know it wouldn't be an insult when used on men. So....yeah. Again though, it's all about context. Obviously we're not going to moderate a post that's discussing someone named Louis.

Err whats the meaning of Hugo and why its an insult? Same goes for Louis when used on girls.(I am not american so I don't understand these terminologies.)

Yeah, crazy thing is that some people were on to that one as early as Ground Zeroes. I mean, we all knew the medic in GZ was just a down pitched Sutherland, but lots of peeps on Gfaqs were thinking it would be something bigger and there was one dude (Billysan) who completely called it over a year and a half ago.

Plenty of other hints throughout the game of course, but if it didn't slap you across the face that something was up when the DNA test with Eli didn't match up, it's like come the **** on.

But yeah, the actual playing part of that mission sucked. It was already a drag as the intro, but I was just like yeah it's MGS, they have to do us like this at the start. Going through those motions again was painful though. I haven't S ranked all the missions in the game, but I imagine that will be the shittiest one due to how much waiting is involved.

And yeah, agreed. If Code Talker was limited to nothing but hamburger speak, he would have been a much cooler character for it. As a matter of fact, had they just gone with hamburger rather than parasites as a threat in this game, and had Skullface engineering hamburgers to compete with Kaz, the story would have been better off for it.

The intro to MGSV is fucking terrible to do even once. Fucking cinematic crawling.

Even worse bro, cinematic head movement.. in slow mo.. and blurred.

As mega-hyped as I was for the game, that shit took the wind out of my sails. It was well done, but I wish it would have been much shorter.

Edit: And btw, this is how fucking stupid MGS fans are. Many people on the MGS boards argue that the intro was the best part of the game. Assholes.

Most of them are words that I either didn't know existed, or words that are so offensively shitty that it wouldn't matter anyways.

I only lost eff off in the grand scheme of things, a lot of it makes sense, some of the more iffy stuff is okay, yeah I get that it will only really be used in an insulting sense so they are toning down on that, others are a bit much. Whatevs.

It's a list of words that could get you moderated. Really depends on how they're being used. As long as your not using them to be nasty to other users, you're fine. Most people here have nothing to worry about really.

That thing bugged/gave off an eyesore to me so much, I can't even explain why, but he just wouldn't stop either so I was cringing. Otherwise yeah I don't need to see 40 minutes of pointless stuff to make me feel "enraged" or whatever his intent was with that extra stuff lol

Yeah, they could have set the tone and got the point across much more quickly and it would have been better off for it. As much as I value interactivity in this medium, some things are best left to cutscenes and much of the intro would have been better that way. Even the parts in which you did have full control of Snake after he gets on his feet, there was nothing fun about the gameplay at all.

Does anyone else remember the good old days when we couldn't say the words class and style? Not because of rules, but because Glitchspot forums couldn't handle the words in the with the site's CSS for some reason. :P

Sometimes you could though, but I will admit, even though the HTML errors were abound... I would still take that over the current look of the forums. Maybe that's nostalgia speaking, or because making threads back then was easier to customize.

Yeah, when he kept falling I was like oh man this is gonna take forever. Especially the second time lol. I mean I get Kojima is going for realism, but yeah it's like the way J.R.R. Tolkien described like every little thing (I know it's different in the medium of novels, but even then it's a bit much, like how Christopher Tolkien hated how the movies dumbed down the adventure but come on man :P)

Also holy crap, In Cold Blood is such a good and depressing novel.
