Meh, cheating in Dragon's Dogma. There's already items that give infinite stamina just in case you couldn't cheese the game enough with a few uses of Dragon's Maw. :P Not having to deal with inventory management's cool too.
I've never ever played Far Cry 4 or any far cry game for that matter, so i log in to my PS4, check my trophies to see my level and i see a Far Cry 4 trophy set... Da Fuq?
But it's an RPG. teh inventory management ;__;
We can do better than "Okay, you're carrying too much -- go home and sell that shit." Most of your precious RPGs are poopy in that respect. You hear me? Poopy.
thought i would pop in as I have some spare time, things have changed a lot in the 3 years I've not been on here hahahaha
I wasn't impressed by the first trailer but the new SS trailer has me sold
DC > Marvel
I wasn't impressed by the first trailer but the new SS trailer has me sold
DC > Marvel
LOL
man o man that was simply brilliant
honestly you cannot say DC>marvel or Marvel> DC because BOTH imo are equally amazing, Captain America will freaking have Spiderman with him!! SPIDERMAN with captain america and iron man!
So Creed was great. The acting was superb. Michael and Sylvester were just phenomenal even if Stallone sounds like an Italian with smoking problems. The choreography and the shots made it feel like you were actually there in the moment, and they remind you of how dangerous and how much it actually sucks to be a boxer. There was just so much that done so right, the atmosphere was perfect, it felt real, even with the product placement. The music was just right, it had that modern vibe, but it wasn't trash, plus it brought back some old favorites. That's another thing, it didn't simply try to treat fans, if anything it tried to distance itself from the originals. Soooo good.
Still need to see some great films like Bridge of Spies, Straight Outta Compton, Ex Machina, The Revenant, Spotlight (maybe), and The Big Short (maybe). Then need to see a ton of others like The Hateful Eight, Ant-Man, The Walk, Everest, Spectre, The Visit, etc.
So far my arbitrary top 10 films of 2015 are:
1. Inside Out
2. Mad Max: Fury Road
3. Star Wars: The Force Awakens
4. Creed
5. The Martian
6. Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation
7. Jurassic World
8. Age of Ultron
9. Mockingjay Part 2
Okay, last three are kind of placeholders, haven't seen even ten movies lol. Thank goodness for Redbox though, will make this easier.
How about you guys?
EDIT: Didn't realize I had accidentally pasted the same thing again, ugh phones.

Question but was the The Martian really a comedy movie? i was shocked when i saw during the awards that it won a comedy award and im like da fuq? it looked like a drama/action movie to me
anyways my fav movies in 2015(some i probably dont even remember):
@finalstar2007: It's definitely not strictly a comedy, but yes there are jokes and comedic moments, the jokes are usually like little moments where he says some obscenity at the right moment or cracks some "intellectual" joke here and there. It is pretty funny and Matt Damon does a good job, even if he does act like a vlogger with a huge ego.
@Technoweirdo:
I heard the CAD will probably be as low as 59cents sometime this year so I think most xbox one and ps4 games by then will cost $90 to buy.I have yet to buy a single game over $70 yet this gen. I haven't bought a game at full price in over a year.
Ever since games went up to $70 thats when i stopped buying games on release date, i literally only buy games on sale and thankfully since im highly addicted to Destiny (so far) it has helped me save up a lot of money by not buying other games.. Destiny is a money saving machine to me
till now im still debating wither or not i should keep or cancel the uncharted 4 pre-order (most likely going to cancel and just get my $5 back) as i just simply cannot afford a game that will be up being $90 after tax

I thought first party titles on the ps4 would be around the same price as xbox one games..Looking at best buy.ca xbox one first party games are cheaper. I do hope prices come down eventually for video games and video game consoles eventually because I don't like playing $80 more on a video game. All the games I bought during the holiday season I got through a console deal(console or extra for free)or in a sale.

I've lately noticed that each game sort of gets its own price tag, some games are $84.99, some are $79.99 and some are $74.99
For Uncharted 4 its $74.99+13% tax= $84.73 which is far too much for a single game, now xbox games are also in the same position for Example Recore is $79.99 while games like Quantum break is $74.99 and scalebound is $69.99
Ratchet and Clank PS4 is one of those games that thankfully dosent seem to be affected by the exchange rate and is still $39.99 (same as the USD price)
Buying from PSN though is the best place for day 1 games if you really, really must get a game day one as you can save up that 13% tax since PSN dosent charge tax

I wonder why recore costs $80? I'm lucky I only get to pay 5% GST when I buy new games.
I dont seem to find Dragon's Dogma's stamina/inventory mechanics to be all that much of an annoyance. Maybe it's that I dont hoard, but food expires, materials can be deposited then combined at the inn when you need them and I dont see any reason to keep old gear around. The weight and how it informs Stamina seems to be a big part of the game in both its combat mechanics and to deliver this odd sense of adventure that the game has.

Sigh Ontario tax rate sucks
@finalstar2007: Sorry but no, I grew up loving Marvel (hell I hated DC growing up). The X-Men movies have been pretty bad (except First class and DofP was alright), the Wolverine movies have been horrible to meh and that's just naming a few of their numerous meh to crap movies.
Kojima hanging out with Cerny and visiting Sucker punch. Having dinner with Cerny and their staff too.
Sony knows Kojima is a valuable asset and Kojima fits right in really. This is great after the blow he suffered from Konami. Kojima deserves a chance to have a break and his relationship with them goes way back. Good for him.
@CountBleck12: Mechamaru > Nekomaru
I like him either way, haha.
Anyway, next spotlight.
Spotlight #6: Guts
Series: Berserk
By far, the most manliest swordsman I've read in any fictional books. Despite having a tragic past and not having a childhood like a normal child would, he was able to overcome any battles that come his way. Also that sword he carries around weighs about 400 pounds yet he is able to swing it freely without any problems.
As a side note, the manga for this series is amazing and I need to point out how superb the art is it in. It's one of the best I seen in any manga, and anyone who is a professional in the arts whether it's a professor or artist in general that says otherwise is an idiot.
@Technoweirdo What's your Darkest Dungeon Party comp looking like mostly?
Mine is a Bounty Hunter, a Bounty Hunter, another Bounty Hunter and some random support character (Usually Vestal, sometimes Occultist) lol
All hail Bounty Hunter.
Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones (which I recently got in the mail on the first console mentioned) on the GameCube, PS2, XBOX, and PC was rated M partly for Nudity. However, Common Sense Media says there's absolutely none despite girls (Kaileena and Farah) in skimpy clothing.
Nobody called the ESRB out on this when the game released a little over a decade ago?
EDIT: Oh, they noticed as the HD version doesn't have that descriptor. Still, I hardly remember anybody publicly calling them out on it.
Shimoneta is probably the funniest anime I have ever seen. Too good man. I needed that after a terrible day yesterday.
@CountBleck12: forgot to mention that he killed 100 men overnight and dismembered his own arm for the one he loved. Guts is a very flawed human being unlike the typical anti heroes you see. He is also loyal and selfless and has never betrayed a person in his life. I haven't gotten far in the manga though so he may have changed. One of the best, most complex and well developed characters ever

Reset my progress to to experience the game as God intended. Don't have a particular set-up at the moment as I don't have a full roster.
Personal favourite teams from Early Access though are:
Kojima hanging out with Cerny and visiting Sucker punch. Having dinner with Cerny and their staff too.
Sony knows Kojima is a valuable asset and Kojima fits right in really. This is great after the blow he suffered from Konami. Kojima deserves a chance to have a break and his relationship with them goes way back. Good for him.
Kojima is Da Boss
@khoofia_pika: whoa Kojimaaaaaa you genius hahaha. It's Kojima after all.
This partnership with Sony is just the beginning of his journey. The fans are so supportive on Twitter too. Last night I saw him do a poll about shaving his beard or keeping it and majority voted against it lol.
WTF is with that mission 31 ending. I wouldn't do that to my worst enemy man.
That was fucked up beyond belief even for metal gear. I just earned a trophy called hero too wtf.

How does this setup work?
Thought the Leper was pretty solid at first, but found him to be too much of a liability when the guy gets shuffled around by a skill or surprise encounter, I also dont like how selfish he is, it's similar to how I feel about the Arbalist. Im guessing you have the Jesters ready to use its positional moves.
I typically run with whatever I can easily manage around to make a functional group, which rules out heroes you have to specifically build around like Plague Doctors. But im starting to really like Man-At-Arms - Really versatile, great in lengthy engagements and Houndmasters - The Mark skill is great and can position anywhere, would have been a regular if his stun worked from the backline, but at least he can attack whatever he wants.

Oh yeah definitely, that was one of my favorite scenes in the series (well both of those). I concur though, he's one of my favorite characters of all time when it comes to fiction.
Next spotlight.
Spotlight #7: Black Jack (Kuro Hazama)
Series: Black Jack
Black Jack as a whole has been around for years and I'm talking since 1973. Anywho, about this guy, he's a professional surgeon whom is not surgically licensed for reasons regarding the corrupted bureaucratic establishment. He can patch anyone right up as long as they pay up of course which is certainly not cheap I can tell you that. Given his appearance, he works more in the shadows but that's what makes him cool and stand out.
The most recent release of Black Jack is the anime entitled "Young Black Jack". It was okay.
I've never played more than a little bit of this game but I feel more complete as a fan of this medium having finished it. I finished it on an NES emulator on my PSPgo and the game ran with no issues. I will say, it did feel a little slow for me, so I bumped it up to 80 FPS and had a more enjoyable time. I also used save states very often because even though this may be the one Mario game where coins actually matter (other than to get a star in 64 and Sunshine) thanks to the lives system, it's too frustrating for me to start over.
The game's level design is rudimentary a surface level because of how it was meant as a (re)introduction to the real qualities of the medium after what happened to it in the 80s. That's not to say it doesn't still have some real good ideas for variety. Color palette changes along with different music tracks all lead to a level variety that's still quite enjoyable today. There are hidden blocks and passageways that are done mostly well; however, I think it's well documented by now that there are definitely issues with how some of the hidden areas were placed.
Mario himself controls fine, but he is slippery. I'm surprised at how much this game relies on momentum. I just didn't really expect it. I thought it would be straight up running and jumping without too much thought put in otherwise. Using momentum helps cross larger gaps, get higher on flagpoles, and increase the pace of the game. I don't think Nintendo had any idea at the time, but one of the game's most evergreen qualities is how slow or fast it can be played. Speed runs are highly encouraged with memorization of its level design, short levels, and speed while slower gameplay results in more coins and lives.
Some flaws I have with it, that I tried best putting into perspective this was a game from 1985, were the relative lack of variety in boss fights. I have no issue with them being easy or the same boss, but they all follow a very simple pattern that can often be cheesed with the health system. I'm not a fan of how Mario slips a bit when he lands either, it's something that irks me with Retro's Donkey Kong Country Return games too. Everything else is minor.
It's a good game still, not a great one, but undeniable in its importance and impact. It also led to arguably my favorite 2D game ever, Super Mario World, and for that, and so much more, thank you Super Mario Bros.
