The WiiU version has more content than the arcade version. It has the Ferrum League the new single-player game mode exclusive to the Wii U version of Pokkén Tournament.

My Mac charger short circuited, almost fried my battery, tried to take my laptop with it, and then... Died in one final discharge filled blaze of glory.

Yeah, a lot of pro-gamers are pissed... It's probably the biggest upset in the history of pro-gaming.

Not sure if it was fixed or staged, but that's some great PR for the game to get more casuals involved... or it could back-fire against Capcom since it pissed-off much of the hardcore fighting game community.

They both thought it would be best of 5, and then all of a sudden they changed it to best of 3. If it was best of 5, then it makes sense that Daigo would be sandbagging until the end, but that sudden change to best of 3 ruined his sandbagging strategy. And judging from Lupe's reaction, he knows that Daigo was sandbagging the whole time.

...Or so Yeezy claims. And with the amount of crazy stuff he comes out with, it's hard to take anything he says seriously.

The Young Yharnam Girl sidequest in Bloodborne was a bit depressing.

@93BlackHawk93: did you complete the quest? . Poor girls man. Both of their parents are gone and they slowly descend into a state of insanity like the rest of the town. One of girls goes out looking for her mother and you know .... Even though you never see them you feel for them. Brilliant voice acting and I love that it's all done during gameplay and no cutscenes. You just have to piece things together to understand what truly happened.

A payment fiasco almost lost me the Fire Emblem special edition

Okay, so I ended up deciding on Birthright -> Conquest -> Revelation.

On Chapter 8 of Birthright right now, really enjoying it.

Question since I'm not touching my EN SE until I'm done with my JP copy of Conquest: Are enemies in Lunatic Birthright in-formation? Or are they scattered? Playing through the shared children's paralogues I have available -- Kana, Shigure (not sure if that's his EN name), Midori -- only Kana's had enemies in-formation.

I don't know, really, I'm playing on Normal + Classic right now, but I don't think enemies are supposed to be in-formation on Lunatic. I could be wrong, though.

Mind doing a check? Would appreciate it.

I think Birthright's Lunatic mostly just throws a lot of enemy units at you, so unless you've got high level units yourself it can be a bit hard. From what I've read, a) it doesn't have inflated opponent stats like Awakening did and b) there's no ambush spawns either. It isn't supposed to be as challenging as Lunatic in Conquest or Revelation, so I'm assuming there's no enemy formations.

I am going to do a Lunatic replay of Birthright, so I guess I'll know for sure soon enough.

I still haven't begun playing. I will soon.

Yeah, it's smart to play the worse version first.

Oh, I know that part about Lunatic Hoshido (F*** it, that rolls off the tongue better). More concerned with how they're arranged rather than how many there are. Would find it a bit sad if they weren't set up in a way to use the game's mechanics against you.

But, assuming they aren't, then I guess this'd be my understanding of the three versions on their hardest difficulties:

Hoshido: Introduction to Fire Emblem and all mechanics. Doesn't really push things.
Spoilers Ahoy: Takes positioning mechanic, gives it to the enemy. Also toughens up enemies considerably.
Nohr: Takes positioning mechanic, gives it to the enemy. Decides that ain't enough, gives skills, some combos being a nightmare. Out of mercy, doesn't have enemies as tough as Spoilers Ahoy.

@a-new-guardian: it's... "good" isn't the word to use... it's SOMETHING to be back? Yeah, we'll go with that. However, I make no guarantees how long I stick around anywhere anymore. I'm all over the place.

@93BlackHawk93: there used to be a time I didn't, back when this place thrived, new consoles were being announced and I particularly remember the Skyward Sword bomb. Those were good times. Now? I just kinda forget this place exists for long stretches.

On Chaz: Personally, my respect for him begins and ends with "He tries". I will forever hold against him the time he mistook Smash fan art (that he actually saw before) for official art and took it as confirmation that everyone there would be returning to Smash 4. To think he actually wrote for a publication...smh.

Again though, at least he tries and there's no ill intent in the stuff he does around here. More than I can say about myself as a community member; I'm just along for the ride.

On this: You're here. I'm here. We both happen to be here and have no current reason to leave. It's how things were back when I had a different schtick. Then things happened in the middle. Tried to change things. Led to an 8-month gap. As it turned out, we didn't mesh too well.

But things right now are exactly like how things were then sans that particular schtick. It's nice.
