I'm not a fan of anime at all, it usually makes me want to gag, but I've been steadily binge watching JoJo recently. It's just so endearingly stupid, I can't get enough of it.
I think you would like something like Cowboy Bebop, maybe.
Boku no hero and Ace Attorney greatness in a single day. This season of anime is bloody great.
Boku no hero out already? need to get on that shit.
Man, Transformers Devastation is pretty awesome. It's a shame Platinum has to bog down the experience with these stupid tacked on RPG systems.
@davillain-:
I think the series is terrible outside SO3, which was at best salvageable. But hey, don't let me rain on your parade.
Still takes the cake for the worst plot twist in a videogame.
Can I just spoil it?

One of my old college buddies used to tell me the same thing, I'll check it out after this JoJo marathon. I'm just trying to get in touch with my inner weeb.
Who am I kidding, I'm a MGS fan, it's always been there lol.
Same here, i can't take them seriously.
There are some anime movies that I liked growing up. I thought Ninja Scrolls was legit, still do. Akira was cool. Some of the Studio Ghible stuff is pretty dope. I watched the Berserk stuff not long ago, liked that.
Still though, I find most of it to be mind numbing. A couple of years back when people were losing their shit about Attack on Titan, saying stuff like "It's not your typical anime!" I tried to give it a watch and it was just stupid. And not the fun kind of stupid. And yes, from what I could tell, it is your typical anime lol.
Anyways, I think it's best if you don't try to take them seriously. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure for instance, I find that I'm liking that in the same way that I like 80's and early 90's action movies. It's like watching Commando, or Bloodsport, it's an entertaining kind of stupid lol.
This RekoMeister, is he really NyaDC?
You never know with Nya, he's more full of shit than most, but honestly? I don't think so. I think this is just a case of our resident cow bros calling alts on any low level account that disagrees with them.
Bought all 6 of the Yakuza games on a whim, the original game is hilariously awful in a way due to it having no lock on whatsoever (from what I've played); the english voice acting is just....amazingly bad, Mark Hamill as Goro Majima is the best.
Also bought the Virtua Fighter series, they seem great.

I've played till 4 and the spin off Dead Souls , love the series. Finish chronologically each series ( Start from 1), so you reap the benefits ( Bonus items ) when starting next series. Will get Yakuza 5 someday :)

The thing is i have too much on my plate right now, tv series, movies, etc. But i should try to delve into'em in some other time..
I'm actually getting hyped for Gears. Damn it MS you fucks, you had to take away music playback didn't you.
I can't miss out on this game, too many good gears split screen memories.
But oh damn if they pull a halo 5 and axe splitscreen ; but I don't think they would though since I knew Halo 5 would suck, i've got a great feeling about this gears.
Beat Dark Souls 2 today, so I'm Dark Souls 3 ready. Never want to touch Dark Souls 2 again.
That include the DLC?

**** No.
Once I got late game and had my chance to go find out how to access the DLC stuff or just finish the game, I said **** it, I don't want to do any more of this game. The game actively turning me off at the end is all on from software, no DLC was changing my mind on the overall game.
@illmatic87:
If it's the twist I think, ask others if they want the spoilers. I don't honestly care either way.
In other news, I binged through Jessica Jones in pretty much one day. It was worth it; David Tennant's performance as Kilgrave was amazing, but honestly everyone delivered great performances. Color me stoked for Luke Cage later this year.
**** No.

Shame. Eleum Loyce (Crown of the Ivory King) is easily my favourite area in the series, but I understand that you have to suffer most of DS2 just to even reach it, and that's not gonna retroactively make the base game good.
Just beat Transformers Devastation, awesome game. Probably the best time I've ever had with a Platinum game.

DLC is easily the best part of the game.
Best in the whole souls series debatability.

I'm sure that's true, but when I mean I really got turned the **** off, I mean I got turned the **** off. Which doesn't happen to me with these games. When Demon's Souls was beaten, me and my college roommate did another playthrough. Dark Souls? I kept replaying until I got all the achievements. Bloodborne? I started doing chalice dungeon stuff and started a new character, and did the opening quarter on ng+, the chalice dungeon and me wanting to beat 52 games last year (Hahaha, i didn't come close) stopped me from playing more. This? by Shrine of Amana I was like "PLEASE FUCKING END"
Are you going to do the challenges for Devastation? I was going to do them when I rented the game on PS4, but I figured **** it, let me wait till the PC version since I dig the game enough.
**** No.

Meh, all these games sort of blur together at some point. If you ever get that itch for new souls content, you can always come back to it later.
Nah, Transformers was just a gamefly rental. Got a yearly $1 month thing going on. Trying to get through as many short games as possible. Transformers was great, I will definitely consider picking it up when it goes on sale down the line. Trying to SS some of those challenges is going to be pain when I come back to it. **** the flying enemies in that game, they're the worst.
Played a little bit of DS3 to see how to played an ran. So far, extremely well. Gotta play through DS2 first though but I'm dreading going back to it after how sluggish it felt. DS3 feels so damn good to play.
Yeah, that's my main beef? lol it probably would have been good, but when I've made up my mind that I just want this shit to end, **** that.
Would've been great. lol First time I felt...desparate in Souls. It's kinda like getting trapped in a frozen version of Super Metroid's Norfair for your first time, the game intent on keeping you in that hellhole for all eternity. The Way Through is presented to you right at the beginning, being a boss fog door in this case, but the boss is next to impossible to beat much like how Norfair's next to impossible to escape without platforms. You keep searching and searching for The One Item only for the game to deny you at every possible turn and things only feel worse as you go on. Just before you think it's truly hopeless, you finally manage to get The One Item to traverse The Way Through and you manage to get out of the shithole you were trapped in for who knows how long.
Just when you manage to get out, you immediately acquire a way through all those blocked passages you saw earlier on your hellish trip, only it's not like gaining Super Missiles; it's more like losing the Freeze Beam -- and that's the moment I forgave DS2's level designers. Props for a clever take on Metroidvania progression.
Oh, and the Ivory King is my favourite boss fight since Ornstein + Smough.
Ajin is too good. I freaking love the characters and action. It feels like something you'd see from America rather than Japan. The last episode with snipers and disguise was my favourite part.
I am definitely buying the manga now.
I sit and watch my PS4 catch dust because there's nothing to play on it. It bugs me on some level because I hate to see unused electronics but I take solace in the fact I didn't pay for the thing.
Early June cannot come fast enough so I can enjoy DQH2 at the very least. Atlus is taking their sweet time with P5 as it is.
@mmmwksil: Sucks to be you. I been enjoying my PS4 since launch and still playing good games for it. It depends on what games you want to play on it, I won't lie that the PS4 was slow of any good games at launch but now, there's more games available now but it depends on what exactly are you looking for and this goes for any gaming systems.
Listening to Bloodborne's Laurence soundtrack. And I get goosebumps just hearing the last two minutes. Amazing work by composer.
I'm thinking of switching to a PC but if I end up going on an expedition I'll be in a berthing facility or something and desktop will be useless.
megh
@shadowchronicle:
Still worth it lol.
Seriously, my only beef with PC gaming is that there are too many damn games to play. It's a nice problem to have though.
