Char? You getting UC 4? :)
Yeah, it'll get here May 13. I'll probably be too busy with Ratchet and Clank to care though.

Fan of R & C more than UC?
Yeah, I mean I really like Uncharted 2, and 4 looks fine, but Ratchet as a series is far more up my alley than Uncharted is.

Cool. Enjoy both games Char :)
A bit surprised you actually bought it.
Have you played Infinite Space?
Just came back watching CAPTAIN AMERICA : CIVIL WAR.
Spidy RULES !!!
I'm going to see it tonight, me and my baby mama are totally looking forward to it indzman. Just one question, is there a after credit scene like always in Marvel movies after the movie?

Yes
Is there any way to turn off the stupid notification bell that's on this website now? It's really fucking annoying
I think there is supposed to be a way, but I don't remember how it's done. Let me look into it and let you know.

I saw a credit scene just after names casting ends, didn't wait for all the credits to end :)
@charizard1605: nah Amazon has yet to send me it, but once it's done I'll be caught up on all things platinum.
I was gonna tell you about the reprint lol, good to see you're on top of things there.
Yeah, let me know what you think.
@charizard1605: Cool, thanks Charz :-)
There are 2 after-credits scenes: one at the halfway point, and then one at the very end. Make sure you stick around through it all!
I think I just got fucking Uncharted 4 fucking spoiled, what the ever loving fucck people
@jg4xchamp: Buying a game blindly because it has Platinum's name slapped on the box? For shame Champ. :p
So, I just completed two parts in my DVD collection. One of theme being classic Police Story.
-Police Story 1 (PAL UK Hong Kong Legends/CineAsia version; which is pretty much the Hong Kong version)
-Police Story 2 (NTSC US Dragon Dynasty Edition, which is, interestingly, the Japanese version of the film and not the Hong Kong version)
-Police Story 3: Supercop (NTSC US Dragon Dynasty version, which, though has the editing of the US version, it's audio is all from the Hong Kong version)
-Jackie Chan's First Strike, aka Police Story 4 (NTSC US Dimension/Miramax version)
Ratchet and Clank is the best platformer I've played in a long time and is easily my favourite PS4 game, right now it's a high candidate for my GOTY.

Infinite Space is probably one of the more underappreciated RPGs on the DS. Game is crack.
It just doesn't really feel like much of a Platinum game. On the surface, it's your cookie cutter JRPG fare. There's faction politics, internal drama, a rival that the protagonist is contending with, an empire that's trying to take everything, there's also some mysteries surrounding alien artifacts and space anomalies. You can probably piece together what happens just with those details already. But it's quite the memorable space opera regardless. There's a varied and likable cast, branching pathways that reward you more than just a different story arc and the game has a structure that's split in 2 acts that's very reminiscent to how Final Fantasy VI is set up.
It's also not an action game. Combat is this odd balancing act of managing resources. Second guessing the AI with basic ship commands and moving in range--back and forth in a 2D plane--to find a sweet spot of where all your fleet's guns will efficiently hit. it's a fine system that's informed by this really cool and flexible fleet management layer. The fleet management mechanics is probably the best part of the game: it has you buying ships, outfitting modules appropriate to what a ship can carry (size, power and population), configuring weapon specifications, assigning crew you've recruited to certain roles and setting up a formation to the fleet you've created.
Abit of a heads up, it has a fair bit of issues that hold it back from being great. There's odd balancing decisions with very sharp difficulty spikes, where certain paths are also just so much harder than others. There's this really terrible boarding/ground combat game. There's mechanics and stat abbreviations that are poorly explained. There are alot of missables: like ships, crew members that have rather arbitrary requisites for you to attain them if that bothers you and it has a rushed conclusion with no development that makes the ending of both the Mass Effect and Xenosaga Trilogy seem like masterpieces. but I #enjoyedthejourney(tm).
NEOGAF just made a thread about the complement executives give to each other thing we talked about in the UC4 HYPE Char. Lol
What's going on with the sigs? None are appearing...
I can see them though. Did you try to turn them on in the settings? Oh wait you probably did.

No, that's exactly a Platinum Game.
Oh man, I can really see where Star Fox Zero went WAY wrong.
The worst thing is I don't think this is a bad game at all. It's just plagued with a wonked up Control scheme and a Rehashed Overused Story. It's like every Star Fox game now has to be Star Fox SNES and nothing else. It literally would kill Nintendo to make a Star Fox 64 Styled Sequel which they kinda did in with the Gamecube with Assault.
Anywho all I'm saying is that there's a good reason why this game isn't selling too hot and all it takes is a few minutes of hands on play to see it.
EDIT: On the Other Hand, Star Fox Guard is not completely Awful and I would say it's better than the main game.

Lol. The quality of discourse on that place has really gone down in the last few years -_-
I just love how japanese support suddenly spiked recently, i got Danganronpa 2 Goodbye Despair and Corpse Party fresh and ready to be played.
Have you played the original DanganRonpa? What did you think?

Agreed. The game is fantastic.
I got this yesterday, and I am admittedly very early in the game, but... I'm not feeling it.
It's charming, funny, witty, but it's not exactly fun to play. It feels bland, something feels off. My hope is it picks up later, but I'm starting to suspect maybe this was a case of nostalgia overinflation.
So I can only imagine our crazed leader @charizard1605 is happy now that Persona 5 has a release date in Japan, and a worldwide release is likely due during E3 next month.
Must say even I'm pleased by this, as well as the latest trailer. The wait is almost over.
Also surprised Uncharted 4 managed a 10 from GS. How much did that cost I wonder? I'm eagerly waiting the price drop to $10 before I get it.
I am so happy, really. Now we just wait for the western release date at E3.

I watched the anime a couple of years ago, seemed interesting and i didn't think at the time that i'd play the game. I don't think its worth playing if i know the plot and everything.
Mystery is sort of my thing, i love everything about it in any medium be it books, film or video games. That's why i'm really glad that i have the chance to give Goodbye Despair a go, i've been meaning to play it for a while but i don't have a Vita.

Don't play 2 without playing 1, unless you finished the anime of 1 and are familiar with the story (that wasn't clear)

Anime is terrible, try the games.

Yeah, i'm familiar with the plot.
I've been thinking of giving the first one a go if i want some more, wen i'm done with Goodbye Despair. I assume it's much more detailed than the anime version of it.
Went to a couple retro game stores with a friend, and it only furthered my opinion about just how lame modern consoles have gotten since the PS2 era.
Didn't get anything for myself though. The trip was more for my friend. The last tv I had for retro games broke, and I never got around to replacing it these last few years, so I don't have a setup for them. Would love to play an original Xbox again though. That system was a beast.
I'm not feeling it.

You are describing my experience with every R and C game I've ever played. I've tried to get into the series, but those games are all sizzle and no steak.
That's why I've held off the latest one. The series has always felt bland to me. Like all the weapons and quirky characters are a shell masking a grey, lifeless mixture of meh.
