The game being short is not a problem, and the games shitty sidequests are whatever. Sidequests have been shit in video games for all of eternity. They just come in slightly different degrees of shit. The combat being piss poor, the bosses being
A: pushovers
B: just fucking lazy from a visual design standpoint
C: Basically all have the same set up of "hit with flying kick, maybe use rock slide here and there"
Is boring as shit, and then the mission designs focus so much on combat. Like moving around the city and getting the gems is the only time I'm actually having any consistent fun, and that's a product of the game taking advantage of me being compulsive. When it finally lets you platform? Boring shit, or shit that asks you to do it without the gravity powers, like that one fucking room with the floating squares while god lady talks to you for fucking ever, and now I'm fetching cats...we on Mission 18 of like 21, we gathering cats.
I understand that the vita sucked dick in terms of getting exclusives that weren't a colossal bore, and that people who like Sony first party game outside of stuff by Ueda and Naughty Dog, but **** this. I'm in awe, in how the game just finds a new way to be boring at this point lol
