PC's not my thing (console till I die🤘) but if I get the urge, I can always play it on my Sega Saturn, it actually plays well with a dpad, I kid you not, and I have Red Alert & Tiberium Wars on 360.

Say, what are you more of a fan of, third person or first-person shooters?

It kinda depends what I'm in the mood for. Not opposed to either. For example, I'm currently enjoying Ready or Not for it's tactical fps glory on PC, but I equally will enjoy a good adventure third person shooter (like last of us) or an adventure... Shoot em up like Returnal (soooooo good). I would prefer the more tactical esque approach like classic Ghost Recon 2 or GRAW. I've been pretty bummed by Ubisoft's modern approach to Tom Clancy.

I hate what Ubisoft did to Tom Clancy. Probably my single biggest gripe.

To this day no game plays like the original R6 series. Even within the same genre.

Likewise Ghost Recon may as well be an entirely different IP at this point.

I don't consider the Last of Us a third person shooter, more an action-adventure game with guns, and besides it's one of the worst games I've played in the last few years.

Maybe you should try Remnant 2, its godly. But yeah, it sucked that Ubi went from Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 1 & 2, to the last 2 GR games.

GRAW 1/2 were alright on PC.

The lack of location, globe trotting, overall brown makes it visually quite bland samey samey compared to the OG game.

That you said PCs aren't your thing. I'm always a PC gamer first and foremost. I'll still own and play everything though... When I have the time.

Last of Us 1 was excellent with its storytelling. The pacing was inconsistent but it did a good job with is its narrative direction. The sequel was incredibly disappointing, disjointed and lacked polish in its storytelling. I think ND got a little too big of a head with their first outing and dropped the ball. Some bits they did pretty good though (museum flashback for one).

Yeah, I'm pretty nervous about this Splinter Cell reboot. I don't have confidence in Ubisoft.

Indeed I was. Now I'm an Inventory Radiology and I couldn't be happier.

The gameplay was clunky and so was the combat, I didn't care about the story as I don't in every game. A great story can't make up for bad gameplay/gunplay.

Ah Splinter Cell, man I miss that series. Can Ubi screw it up, absolutely. But from what I read there is a few people who worked on the OG game are working on this game, so i'm cautious, but hopeful.

annual disney plus sub about to go up by another £25/year. the nerve of them lol. can't even name one decent new show or movie they had in 2024.

netflix might be just fast food tv, but at least you get generous portions, a constantly updated menu and occasionally it can be tasty.

@Macutchi: Well my Foxtel subscription just deleted its WWE channel because Netflix has the rights to ALL WWE content outside of the US, and still raised my subscription by $36 a year, so basically $3 month. Buncha c u next Tuesdays lol.

The UK government is also trying to add streaming services as part of the TV license to bolster the BBC.

Essentially trying to force people to pay for the BBC who have no interest in it, purely to hold it up.

The OG trio (SC, Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos Theory) were legit. Plenty of fond memories of playing multiplayer via system link and Xbox Live with the whole merc vs spy gameplay.

@Stevo_the_gamer: Double Agent was great too, Conviction is where it started to go south, but I still enjoyed the game for what it is, it's just that it's not really Splinter Cell as we knew it.

Hopefully come E3 season we get an update on the remake, I'm still hopeful, and if I were to but it then it would be my first ever purchase of a remake as I'm not really a fan of that kinda stuff.

The first thing it does when open it is mix it all in with paid content where have to manually filter it all out, and once done that realize it's mostly, the cheapest movies they could put up, with original content not even really worth clicking.

Price hikes, ads. Just not very good.

I am cleaning up old files and just found the Dark Souls II pre-order bonuses, including the MP3 soundtrack. "Date modified" says 2014. The music was so bland. So generic and bland. Constantly with the Hollywood-style chanting. Almost always loud. I forgot. Nothing compared to Demon's Souls.

The 42-page digital artbook is bland too.

It's nuts how long they have been repeating themselves.

Edit: Hell, FromSoftware could reuse much of the music, not even performed again, but the same files, in Elden Ring II, and the most of the players wouldn't notice unless they were informed. It's that generic.

@TheEroica: I really like Days Gone on PC, good game but the remastered doesn't look like it'll have neither DLSS or Raytracing support. Not interested in Horde mode. The PC version is as good as it's gonna get. Horizon Remastered on the other hand, was a nice upgrade as the original game was more older on the hardware engine compared to Days Gone.

@davillain: days gone is 12 dollars sometimes on steam. Making a remastered version and reselling it at a higher price feels almost criminal.
