+1.

as good as the xbox / ps2 version was (and it still wasn't close to chaos theory), the story left the series with no way back to its original near perfect dynamic of sam, grim and lambert. that was disastrous. what came after were very different games

Disagree, Double Agent on OG Xbox is pretty great.

Side missions in Blacklist are fantastic.

Campaign meh.

@uninspiredcup: agreed double agent on the xbox / ps2 was good. i do remember the story being different in that version though. i vaguely remember you could spare lambert. but in the xbox 360, ps3 and pc version sam kills lambert, which is canon and that sent the game down a path it couldn't return from. and imo due to that the series as we knew it died.

so saying "splinter cell after chaos theory died" i think is a fair point. double agent killed it. fitting name

@Macutchi: The PC version of Double Agent is so bad never managed to complete it due to game breaking bugs.

Not that I wanted to.

@uninspiredcup: i gave up on the pc version, bought a new graphics card around that time too, was well pissed off with it. not just crashes and npcs glitching but utterly broken foundational shit like falling through floors, floating down endlessly into oblivion, stuff like that. had to get a copy on the 360 to play it

@davillain: If you have air filters in the house this can help a lot. I put one in the same room as my gaming stuff and it collects significantly less dust.

@Macutchi: Yea, about that time was peak "shit port", land.

Things better now, but it's more a general "this shit is a mess" Russian Roulette, while they continually jack up prices.

Totally forgot about that Splinter Cell remake as well.

I really like Michael Ironside in the role and as an actor, given his age and health it would potentially be his last time. So might wind up picking it up, bypassing all the Ubiwank crap and hoping it it's Ass Creed or Batman type shit where they just completely **** up the gameplay.

Yep, we have air filters in-house and the filters don't get changed till 6 months past. I have a set schedule when it comes to cleaning the house and every corner of it.

Air purifiers are too loud. I keep them off while consuming important media and sleeping. Almost never clean the dust out of my computers.

I was kid when double agent release. I was hype. and when i play JBA HQ mission that feel likke bad hitman like part and daylight mission. I was so disappointed. plus NVG were useless.

Why OG Xbox version never release on PC???

Yea the JBA stuff is garbage, Xbox version has it as well though nowhere near as bad. In general just a mechanic that sounds good on paper, but shit in execution.

Michael Ironside's voice is iconic AF when it comes to Splinter Cell.

The fact that he's survived three batches of cancer is incredible.
