In my opinion? Final Fantasy XII. What? I liked it a lot, don't judge me.

Its an amazing game with a ton of content, a great world, great art, great music, fun battle system, good story and the best writing and VA FF has ever had.

And yes it has a lot of problems as well, but none of it stops the above from being true.

For a lot of people it was their first FF game. And for its time it was the ****! It may not really measure up to a lot of the subsequent games in the series, but its a classic for sure.

X-2 is a side sequel? um im pretty sure its a direct sequel so therefor considered part of the main franchise line.

This is coming from someone who hasint beaten all of them so take it as you will.

1. Final Fantasy XI - Yeah that is right, 11 is number one for me! Expansions were great, captured all the Final Fantasy feel, and I had a ton of fun with it.

It looks like a lot of the FFVII lovers have left SW. So many long threads when the remake is discussed. It's just a mediocre game.

I remember liking FF6 a lot when I first played it on the GBA, but I started playing through it again on the Virtual Console (as FF3), and it really doesn't hold up very well at all. I still love the story, the music and the gameplay, but the game does an absolutely terrible job of telling you what you need to do next. Other than that, I really liked X, XII and Crisis Core.

1) Final Fantasy X - Will forever hold a place in my heart. Can't wait for the HD remake
