ill complain about disc swapping, for obvious reasons. when i play games i like to sit back and relax, not be bothered by getting up and swapping disc. imagine this for a second will you. its a hot day, youve turned the AC off for some reason, your sweating in your seat from the intense ps3 gameplay alone, let alone with all that heat (not from the ps3 from the air, imagine a 360 now for this part), your playing the ps3 game with the awesome controller that makes your fingers strong with awkward trigger buttons, your so comfortable cuz of the heat, then BAM: insert disc 2 and think about disc 3 for later. now you have to get up, take out the disc, store it, take out the next disc, put it in, wait a few seconds for it to load, meanwhile you have lost all immersion in the game, now u gotta remember which part you were at, and finally you go to sit back down in your seat, but feel like you are sitting in a wet spot because of all the sweat marks. you feel gross and disgusted, you decide to turn off the game to justify your getting up.

For some reason I'm also hearing "I don't want to lift my arms and waggle, especially on a hot day" (looking at Wiimote haters).
I do both and normally I would prefer the install if it was faster. However, if I had to pick whether to get a game on xbox 360 or ps3 only based on the install or multiple disc criterium, I would pick multiple discs since it is overall faster. And I mean, I remember for Lost Oddysey, I changed discs only once every like 10 hours and that took all of 10 seconds. Installing games on ps3 still takes a long time. And yes, even new games do it. Batman took a good amount of time to install.
i hate the installs.the ones in metal gear 4 were ridiculous, plus the online install. know wonder sony keeps making the harddrive bigger.when i had a 40gig it didnt take long to max out. ive never had that problem on the 360.

I agree. I mean everytime you console gamers want to play another game you have to get up and change the disc. PC gamers? No we just install them on our HDD's. We don't need disc's at all. Have fun changing your discs everytime you want to play games. Man thats so last gen.

Takes about 15 seconds to change a disc, how long to PS3 installs take... exactly!

If a game needs two Blu Rays it will most likely be for a very very good reason and when you think about how many DVDs that would be it would make Blu rays look even better. The truth is installing actually IMPROVES the way a game runs. Thats the biggest difference, not the saving time but the performance issue. Swapping disks improves or adds nothing but installing games helps how well a game runs. I guarantee if the 360 had a standard HDD it would have mandatory installs too.
No wonder gamers are so ADHD... they fight over trivial matters like disc swapping and installs... I'm baffled that trivial matters like this somehow make games better worse, etc... kids these days. Back in my days, we had one cartridge and took what we got, when discs game and we had to swap, we adapted. We weren't spoiled with today's big corporate promises and hell we had to deal with load times longer than the system's boot up. Young whipper snappers I tell ya...

The two occurences are not mutually exclusive events. Installations and multi-disk games have no correlation with each other whatsoever, so this thread fails.

You know that you have to install the game because of blu ray right? The 360 doesnt have that problem.
