graphically speaking the NGP is weaker then the 360/PS3 and the 3DS is as strong/stronger then the Wii

You do know there is more than just 3d added to the 3DS? Myself there been a large number of games I want. Example: Pilot Wings, KidI, MegaMan Legends 3, PL vs PW, Starfox 64, Rabbits 3d and so on.HarlockJC

I sure as hell won't be getting one, although I'm sure there are many people for whom it is an ideal system.

I think haters are to easy to dismiss the 3DS and fans are way to easy to accept it.

I'm not asking for 1080P and 60 FPS, i just think their really hurting themselves and us as gamers by not incorporating decent hardware into their systems considering this thing will be on the market going against the likes of a quad core NGP.

The original DS launched with Super Mario 64. Didn't stop the DS from becoming the best sold handheld of all time. When has "dated" tech ever affected Nintendo handheld sales? Every Nintendo handheld ever released has had inferior graphics to the competition at some point during the lifecycle. Game Gear, Neo Geo Pocket, N-Gage, etc all had better graphics but sold poorly.

No it's future looks great, it is Nintendo after all.

I'll be getting it because I want the new Mega man, the OOT remaster, Kid Icarus, MK and the new Pokemon of course, plus it is a Nintento handheld, they are always top notch. Won't be getting it on launch or anything, it's LL looks pretty uninteresting besides Zelda

The 4DS definately looks alot hotter than the DS did at this point. I was looking at an E3 2004 mag i have and looking at the DS' lineup, no way could you expect the system to sell 140million with hundreds of great games.

No it isn't. 3DS's capabilities put it roughly within sixth gen home consoles (ie. DC, PS2, GCN, and Xbox), except with the ability to reproduce some seventh [current] gen shader effects. And even if it was just a "DS 3D", you would be massively overestimating the SNES's capabilities if you think the original DS was comparable to it. DS is in-between a PS1 and N64.

Also while the PSP2 will certainly have the more powerful hardware, it won't by any means be a PS3.

It's 2004 all over again. From the DS to 3DS is a big jump in the tech department. The games look fantasic visually for me and im pleased. Just because Nintendo is porting a 10 year old game with upadted graphics and 3D doesn't mean Nintendo isn't going to make new games like Kid Icarus. Your concerns is just like it was when the DS and PSP were announced and look how it turned out for the DS over the PSP. Big sales and a lot of great games for the DS and I see the same thing happening to the 3DS, try harder.

No, its a brand new system with far superior hardware to the current DS line

Think of what the Game Boy Advance was to the Game Boy and Game Boy Color. The Game Boy Advance was superior to those system because its hardware was upgraded.

The 3DS is the same thing when compared to the DS, DS Lite, and DSi. It boasts superior graphics, hardware, and can do things that none of the current DS systems can do.

No it doesn't. We've already heard upcoming titles for the 3DS, and some look stellar. You're just not looking hard enough.

Everything about 3DS looks promising and the gap between 3DS and NGP is the less than the gap between DS and PSP power wise the only thing which I'm worried about is the price I guess $250 is too much for casual customers to swallow.
