With the only decent game announced being a 10 year old Zelda remake its hard to really understand what Nintendo is doing behind closed doors.
On top of the crap first party Nintendo is bringing to the table, the tech inside the 3DS is already dated. Most games look like a glorified PSP game. I'm not asking for 1080P and 60 FPS, i just think their really hurting themselves and us as gamers by not incorporating decent hardware into their systems considering this thing will be on the market going against the likes of a quad core NGP.
I dont see much good coming from the 3DS besides the fact that its "3D".
What side of the table are you on with the 3DS? Will you be the guy that buys this thing with no games riding soley on hope? Or are you just skipping out altogether?

You're telling me the ONLY title that sounds interesting in these 130+ announced games is Zelda: OoT
Even though it covers 90% of the big franchises from both Nintendo and dozens upon dozens of high profile third party releases.
Meanwhile, the NGP hasn't even announced twenty games yet.

[/QUOTE LOL. Nintendo are kiddy. Yet, they have MGS, Zelda.... u know what? Can't be bothered to list the so-long list of awesomness, look it up,Yeah effing right. MGS 3 is a far superior game to 4. MGS 4 was a total disappointment for me. A good game but fell short of my expectations.i already played zelda when i was like 9.... why would i play it again?
and NGP Metal gear > 3DS Metal Gear

The 3DS already has around a dozen games from typically meaty RPG franchises, does the NGP have ANY?
I'm trying to get a sense of what kind of games you're talking about from your list, which seem to have very little in common.
As a matter a fact, there isn't a single genre that the 3DS doesn't dominate in announced software in my opinion, save for FPS, which is the last genre I wanna play on a handheld (FPS invariably look worse than their home console counterparts, they have smaller and fewer maps, are minus a couple important buttons, and are typically shorter on handhelds, in short they are worsened in almost every way by the transition). In my opinion the 3DS dominates, and dominates CLEARLY in announced Action, RPG, Sports, Racing, Fighting, Strategy, Puzzle & Simulation titles. Even in franchises that are typically FPS it has Ghost Recon announced, for what its worth.
I really don't understand why anyone is even trying to hype the NGP based on software at this point, there's virtually nothing to hype. I'm sure there will be when we get closer to launch and more announcements come, but for now if people feel the need to hype the machine, I'd stick to hyping its power. If you're gonna hype the games, at least take the "I can't live without getting every installment of the uber _____(fill in blank with favorite Sony 1st party franchise)" approach, rather than a general arguement about the libraries.
And until you've actually at least glanced at that list of 130+ announced 3DS games (maybe even do a google search on a few, since GS often lacks info) I'd hold off on the stereotypes about the kinds of games the 3DS is getting because it just looks silly.

A.) 3DS Metal Gear that actually exists > Some Metal Gear Assets from an Unannounced title.
B.) If MGS4 can't come to dual-layer DVD (says Kojima) anyone care to explain how it comes to FAR more expensive flash cards? Two Hour MGS4, anyone?

The tech is outdated? Since when is 3d without glasses "outdated"and by who? And even if most games look like a glorified PSP game...that is still better looking than the DS, so it is a step up. What makes you think YOU get to determine what defines the appropriate leap in technology? Oh wait, let me guess, you also think everyone should sell their products at a massive, possibly unsustainable loss just to make self-centered consumers happy?
Personally, I couldn't be bothered to by a DS (or PSP) for a variety of reasons. I've wanted to at various points but just never have. I was totally ready to plunk down $300 for the 3ds....until I heard of the 3 hour battery life. THAT is the real hurdle. Not your perception of what is proper tech, or lack of knowledge about what games will be out.
