This is thread where we can discuss about BlazBlue vs. Street Fighter, tell the story, and writing matches. Plus, there will be 3 vs. 3 battles, and other cool stuff, even air combos too. There will also be match requests and other things associated with BlazBlue vs. Street Fighter.

P.S. The MvC 2 roster has 12 Street Fighter characters and Calamity Trigger has 12 characters. That makes 24 characters total.

Are you talking about a crossover game?

Not sure what this thread is really about but I'll post my thoughts on both games. :P

Street Fighter IV is definitely the more casual friendly game. A lot of the combos and moves are easier to pull off and the over all mechanics are simpler. My one issue with this game (same can be said for other fighters) is the over-abundance of projectile attacks. So many online spammers... Its a great game that offers a lot of replay value but doesn't have a huge set of features. I've spent many an hour playing online and swapping every other match my best bud.

BlazBlue on the other hand is for the more hardcore fighting crowd. Its takes a bit longer to get used to all of the mechanics and even then I'm still learning to this day. The controls seem far simpler than SFIV at first, only four buttons (weak, medium, heavy, and drive) as opppsed to SFIV's six (weak, medium, heavy for both kicks and punches), but the mechanics allow for far deeper combos and gamplay styles. I haven't picked up Continuum Shift as Calamity Trigger has plenty of content to keep me busy, much more than SFIV. Oh and the single player story doesn't suck ass, its actually enjoyable.

Guilty Gear stomps both of them, especially Blazblue, which is a poor man's Guilty Gear.

Blazblue is a casualized, watered down, wannabe succesor to Guilty Gear. If your still learning BB, don't even think about touching GG. And I wouldn't say its for the more hardcore crowd. You also can't actually compare the games, as the styles are far too different to begin.

While i'm more of a KOF guy, i think BlazBlue is the best 2D figthing game this gen, sure SF4 is a lot of fun, but BlazBlue is much deeper and the characters are really cool, IMO this gen, BB>GG>>>SF4, then again, like i said, i llike SF4 a lot too.

Anyway, at the end of the day, i think KOF XIII will be better :P

Gameplay wise? Quite a few steps back.

Why all the bashing on BB? I can undserstand you may not like it as much but damn.... I never once said said I disliked GG, its was actually my second PS2 game so I spent quite a bit of time with it. , I just that I didn't get into it that much. AcidSoldner

Yeah thats true. I recently put both into my DC and instantly remembered how much better CvS is than MvC.

Im just really suprised how much its not mentioned/requested here. Even by the fighter crowd. Way back that and Third Strike were what most people played around my area. I was shocked once i came to find MvC was in fact the more popular series.

Yes, because the first game of a series can compete with a later game from the same developers who have the experience from working on said series.

Considering the first GG doesn't have as much depth as GGXX#RL or GGAC, I would't buy it. Yeah, I might actually prefer that to BB, But I would rather play an XX game.

Wow man, your a genius for doin that. I mean, tryin to use what I said against me. You must get straight A's or something.

But seriously, I wouldn't buy the PS1 GG and play it over BB. Why? Because it's ArcSys first attempt at a game, that they made to appeal to fans of rock/metal. It eventually evolved into the complex, deep, (superior than BB) games that are, well to be honest, most of the PS2 ones. But that happened over a generation or so.

But yeah, compare a two generation old game to a current generation one. Good job.

So, anyone excited for 10 years of MAHVELL?
