The Civilization 5 Hype Thread *Gamespot 9.0*

This may be my first strategy game for PC. They've always seemed daunting to me, especially the online. But it seems accesible enough for me to get into it, and if I enjoy it, I'll get in to the genre is a whole.

Yeah, a lot of people tell me that :P I just might, but my wallet's screaming for help this month :(

Civilization is the Grand Theft Auto of strategy simply because there isn't any other game that's quite like it in it's genre.

System Requirements Lab says I can't run the game on minimum settings because I don't have a 1.8GHz Dual Core CPU, despite the fact I have a 3.22GHz Dual Core...

I'm going to take what they say with a grain of salt.

I can't even count the number of hours I spend playing the previous releases. I simply love CIV

My hype is AAAA but I'm convinced that it will get a 9.5 here on GS

Everything I read about this game makes me want it more, it's looking like the pinnacle of the Civ franchise. Now all I need is an Alpha Centauri 2.
