The Dual Shock 4 is the greatest controller of all time

I'm a stinking cow that's playing the Xbox One atm, prefers PC over both of them and hasn't used his PS4 in 2 months.

It's still a matter of opinions and preference to what your comfortable with a controller. That said, every gaming controller's have there pros/cons and I do like DS4 when playing any fighting games while the X1 controller sucks and it took me 3 days to master it when playing Killer Instinct.

Could be, if it weren't for the awful battery life. Outside of that, it is my favorite controller of all time. 360 controller is right behind it which I prefer over the X1 controller. I hate the front bumper position on the X1 controller, but love the back triggers.

Surely this debate comes down to nothing but comfort. Xbox 360/One and PS3/4 controllers are all excellent but I choose Microsoft's with my PC because I have big hands and find the Dual-Shock causes pain after a short period of playing time.

I prefer that X1 analogs to the Dual Shock cause the rubber ripped off both my PS4 Dual Shock, never have to worry about that problem with the X1 controller. Plus how does the X1 controller feel light? Nothing light about that controller at all.

After playing a few hours of ps4 and then going to play something on Xbox 360, I always get taken by just how good the 360 controller feels by comparison.... That ends the fight in my eyes right there. I really like ds4.... Its maybe the greatest improvement gen over gen I've seen, but yeah, it's not the best. The 360 controller still has that title for me.

I like the xone controller, I just hate dem' bumpers.

I tried both and I prefer the Xbox One controller. The rumble triggers are beast in racers and are game changers.....but that is just my opinion. PS4 controller is great too, I prefer it over the PS3 one for sure.

Controller preference will always be subjective. I prefer PS controllers over, say, the xbox controllers. But they can still improve. Certainly an improvement on the DS3 though.

How do you figure? The Xbox One controller weighs 9.9 ounces with batteries and the DualShock 4 weighs 7.4 ounces; hence people complaining that it feels hollow and cheap.

Yeah, if it weren't for the bumpers the Xbox one would be the best controller period right now. Well, the triggers are a step back too.

But grip wise, it does fit better in the hands than the 360 pad.

What is your complaint with the bumpers?

@nyadc: for me it's a feel thing.... The bumpers on the 360 controller feel more responsive and feel less prone to accidental clicking. My limited time with xone controller was very positive... Awesome reallyi just feel like the bumpers are shallow click based and unsatisfying feeling... Not sure I'm articulating it right... Just doesn't feel as good.

We bought the charger kit thing so there aren't 2 batteries in the xbox controller contributing to the weight. The fact that you don't take that into account is just like the dumbass you show to be Nyadc.

If anything...EVEN IF THE XBOX CONTROLLER IS STILL HEAVIER.....it STILL felt less solid.

And before it's brought up...yes, the DS4 has a rechargeable battery or whatever and it's included in the weight....that's why I compared it with the same respective rechargeable pack on the xbox controller.

So you're comparing the weight of the X1 controller without the battery to the DS with the battery? You making no sense cause of course you compare both with the batteries cause you can't take out the battery of the DS lol. Thus, the X1 is heavier.

Honestly, I prefer the XB1 controller. It fits better in my hands and I like the position of the analog sticks. BF motions in MKX are ass from what I hear on the PS4 pad.

@davem1992: the original xbox controller (the Duke and the S series) were both better than the dualshock family. Dualshock 3 was the worst controller of all time, considering it was the bastard offspring of a failed boomerang design... And it had no rumble.... And it had sixaxis.

If we are speaking objectively no other controller in the medium was so heavily outclassed by the competition than the dualshock 3.

It is. Buy 2 Xbone analog sticks from ebay (only $4 and yes its compatible, im using em) and it becomes a masterpiece of a controller.

The recharge kit is still two batteries in a plastic casing you incredible moron, and if anything it weighs more because of the casing...

The Xbox One controller has considerably higher build quality and has more plastic to remain rigid and solid. If you try to torque the XB1 controller it barely makes a sound, if you do the same with the DS4 you can hear the thin plastic which makes up its body crackle as it's flexing under the stress and borderline breaking under it.

It's a cheap and poorly constructed piece of shit.
