It's no contest. Each game has amazing graphics, amazing story, amazing gameplay and the best and most clever boss battles in the histroy of gaming. Metal Gear solid 4 And Metal Gear Solid Subsistance are the greatest games ever imo. You can keep your Gears of war, Zelda's, Half life's none of them touch Kojima's masterpieces.There has never been a more cinematic, clever, well written gaming series than MGS. The best of the best

edit: just adding breath of fire and civ games

edit 2 Baldur's Gate and warcraft come to mind

edit 3 i left out tales of___ games

There is no "best series" There can be "my best series" Always when you post something like " MGS/Halo/Zelda/GeoW is the best" some one will answer "no Mario/GoW/Gta/RE is better" ...
