Is anyone still complaining about the graphics? Even in crappy youtube quality you can still see how amazing the game looks in motion. The production values are unbelievable. The lighting engine.... just godly. The animation? Euphoria is seriously wicked.

Framerate is stable, there's little to no pop-in, view distance is great, graphics are amazing, the 29th can't get here soon enough. Looks like way too much fun.

This guy has the same Samsung as I do and is playing it on a 360 like I'll be, so it's nice to see that it's lookin good. :P

I've been skipping all the cutscene and dialogue parts so I don't spoil myself too much.

It's so cinematic when he gets into a shout-out with the cops, like how they call out to each other and stuff. And the animation? Jesus. Like in that 2nd vid when the cop starts crawling away after getting shot and squirming on the ground for a while, and Niko caps him in the back of the knee and he falls realistically? The animation is ridiculously awesome.

I'm glad I watched these, I don't feel spoiled by them at all, especially since I skipped through the cutscenes. These vids just reaffirmed how awesome GTA4 is, and it's even better than I expected in some cases.

someone needs to stage a really good shootout. its like none of these tools know how to use the cover system or anything.

I've gotta say, though, Jack Thompson is gonna love this. The violence in GTA4 is certainly more violent and realistic than previous ones, or any game of its genre I can recall.

Dude when I saw him pull into the car wash, and then it turned out to basically be a FULL-FLEDGED CAR WASH, I pretty much **** myself right then and there. If that's not ridiculous attention to detail, I don't know what is.

It doesnt really fade in, its just the object detail raises as you get closer. You can still see where the posts are from far away but they arent very detailed and a bit harder to make out.

It's better quality and he does a lot of driving. There really isn't very much pop-in at all. I was surprised by how little there was, and also how massive the view distance is when it comes to other cars.

The lamp posts are actually hard to see at a distance, since the sky is so bright and it's an off-screen vid, but they don't pop in much.

SPOILERS IF YOU AREN'T WATCHING THE VIDS

Some stuff i've picked up on:

the lighting is absolutely incredible. Even bungie should be amazed at how awesome the lighting is here.

The animations are some of the best i've ever seen. Holding his hands up to the cop, and then bolting to run away = real. That animation simply couldn't have been any more realistic.

Realistic touches everywhere; actually asking the guy for a burger and buying it, eating it, and saying thank you.

Flying through the windscreen as a result of head-on collision = about time, but welcome.

Shoot outs aren't goofy anymore. In fact, Jack Thomson will be crying when this comes out. Cops taking cover behind doors and barking orders at you? Yelling back at them? Watching a cop try to crawl back to his car while his buddy talks to you? Capping a guy in the knee and watching him fall down realistically? And all of this as a random occurance, not a scripted battle? That's just amazing.

It's nuts. In one of the videos, I think one of the cop shoot-out ones I posted, a police van starts pulling up to Niko and he shoots at it with a shotgun, and it actually starts pulling back to try and get out of shotgun range.

It's the small details that does it. Masterful game.

At around 3:30 he tries to speed down the bridge with 6 stars on a scooter, gets clotheslined by an incoming cop car, and goes flipping through the air.

At one point he also jumps off the bridge, and the way he lands is awesome.

Am I the only one who won't be able to play this game when it comes out? I'll be doing my GCSEs (tests) and won't have time to play it until June :( Why God?? WHY!!!???

There's no reason why you shouldn't be able to manage your time to work and play games. Halo 2 came out the year of my GCSEs. Gears of War came out right before my A-Levels. I did very well in both an massively enjoyed both of those games.

I've never understood the whole "I cant play this/see that movie/go that place because i have exams that month" thing. Surely you have to manage your time effectively to study properly for exams, which involves periods of time where you take breaks, or dont study at all?

I've decided, I will commit as little crime as possible and become a respectable cab driver, I'll keep a cab in my garage and go to work regularly, at night I shall go and entertain my friends and then sleep.thrones

there is MMO GTA:SA mod where people actually do that :P
