Oh man is that a guy crushed in between the car and the wall? I agree the draw distance is sweet. Nothing to complain about at least.

Yeah. It's funny, I didn't even notice him the first time I saw the pic, till someone else pointed it out. And then I looked at it again and saw a body lying crushed at Niko's feet, and I couldn't help but laugh.

What's impressed me most about the draw distance is other vehicles. You can see them pretty far off, it's nice.

While I liked SR, it is not in the same league as GTA4. GTA4 = GOTY!

games like GTA4 shouldnt exist in this industry, it only makes us gamers look bad whereas jack thompson clearly is winning the war when it comes down to what and who gta 4 should and will sell too. controversy is the furthest thing we need in games and rockstar intentionally makes stupid scenes where itll just get them in trouble on purpose, making us gamers look bad. saints row in the otherhand has never gone through as much controversy simply because it doesnt go for the sex and drunk drivin on purpose. whatever thats just how i feel.

have fun with your AAA though, im sure rockstar is paying gamespot a good truckload or two.

I would not put too much emphasis on it, man, as both versions will undoubtedly rock. Just get it for which ever system that you personally prefer the most, and you cannot go wrong.

Supposedly, graphics are pretty much identical with the PS3 having a slight, but very very minor edge. PS3 will have Sixaxis control but Xbox 360 will have 2 x "exclusive" DLC packs til Q1 2009. (I say exclsuive in quotation marks because, with R* exclusive items frequently turn into time exclsuives and, the way things are going at the moment, world wide sales of GTA4 may sway on the side of the PS3 in which case R* will inevitably want to cash in on this veritable cow on the PS3 but this is pure speculation on my part which you can ignore if you don't deal in speculatory matters). The PS3 also has an intstallation which will supposedly give it the edge in stuff like frame-rate and pop-ins, but again, that is non-official, but heavily rumoured and totally minor.

I remember reading in OXM (IIRC) they said they jumped out of the car, into an oncoming delivery truck. They said it tore the car door off and Niko met the trucks grill before he was able to hit the ground. Jumping out of fast cars seem real fun in this game.

That statement I find hard to believe. MS has smart lawyers (and so does R*), but the contract between R* and MS will decide this issue. I am sure MS has made it exclusive and if so PS3 will not get it. It is speculation on both of our parts as we have not seen the contract terms. But as we know 50 million is not peanuts.

Kotaku ran a piece a couple weeks back and it was in SW - title was something like 'pre-orders in UK exceed first shipment'.. meaning all copies are accounted for in the UK via preorder.. lol. i don't get people that try to preorder less than a week away from release :P

i usually preorder just a few days before release and it always works...i even preordered halo 3 about 3-4 days before release and got the game on release day...but thats not the same with :cry:

there is however 'other' content coming to PS3 that is unique to the platform and of 'similar scope' to the 360 content.

this is the information we have from T2/R* regarding the content :) so don't worry if you're getting the PS3 version - you'll get new content, just not the same - and possibly not as large.

i'm sure plenty of people have pre-ordered to sell in the UK - just keep an eye out in the local notices. OR do what i'm going to do to try to get a 2nd copy for my cousin - line up in front of a big box retailer that ISNT taking preorders... those will be first come first serve.

just depends if you want it bad enough to consider lining up.

both consoles are getting their own exclusive content specific to the platforms. to quote a R* rep, the PS3 will have new content 'similar in scope' to the 360s, but specific to the platform. he then goes on to say 'imagine them both as islands full of new content, not just new quests for existing areas' or something to that effect.

Companies and people breach contracts everyday. Trust me, I make a living due to this. :D As 3picuri3 stated, I am sure PS3 will get some dlc, but the contract will most likely dictate who gets what. I am sure there are liquidated damages clauses in the contract to ensure MS has protection. Also, the Sony R* contract for GTA3 had expired, that is why it came to the Xbox. R* did not breach any contract by bringing the franchise to Xbox.

ASDA in the uk dont do pre orders and theirs go on sale at 1201, as its a school night i cant see many people being their at that time, im gonna pop in on my way to work in the morning.
