There are TWO Exclusive Expansion packs coming out. The first in August and we don't know about the 2nd one. But we do know that the first one will offer up an extra TEN HOURS of Gameplay. So perhaps TWENTY HOURS total when you include the 2nd Exclusive Expansion pack.

These Exclusive Expansion packs have already GUARANTEED that the 360 version is THE Version to Own.

If I didn't buy the 360 version I'd find myself in a horrble predicament. In August I'd be desperately trying to convince myself that I don't want MORE CONTENT for the Game of this Generation. I'd probably find myself trying to convince others that "it sucks" or that it's "too expensive" bla bla bla

But deep down I'd know that I BADLY wanted these expansion packs but CAN'T have them.

I don't want to deal with that scenario at all - I'm buy the REAL version of GTA IV, for the 360.

I'm getting the PS3 version. It's not just the load times that are better. There are also less jaggies and no pop-ins. Also, I read that when you turn your character around on the 360 version the framerate drop a bit. These issues don't really hinder the game, but I just want to play the version that is technically superior.

Load times are better. But what does that really mean? When I start the game up it will take 27 seconds to get into the game rather than 24. When Niko dies it will take me 13 seconds to reload rather than 11?

Unless you were playing side by side with 2 consoles you'd NEVER even notice.

The other things are minor. Less jaggies on the PS3, but the 360 version has more Vibrant, richer colors

And you are mistaken if you believe the PS3 version has no pop-in. Both version have it, but there is a bit more in the 360 version ( something that can easily be fixed if Rockstar offered up an Option install )

And having other games to play later takes nothing away from the Exclusive Expansion packs.

Sure there will be other games to play later, but that won't mean I won't be HIGHLY Interested in MORE CONTENT for a game that may very well already have GOTY on Lockdown.

And with the 360 version I have a CHOICE. If I were to buy the PS3 version I will Never get that choice. How can you be interested in GTA 4 and then turn around and say that you won't be interested in a GTA IV Expansion pack.

Sounds like Denial to me.

yep. and appearently there are also more framerate hick ups.. now none of these things will ruin the game, but the less of these problems, the more immersive the game will be.. simple. Mass Effect is a good example.. the game could have been a much more immersive experience.. though it was allready great as it is..

Yeah. If I had a decent rig I'd re-buy Mass Effect on the PC like I did with Kotor. The smoother framerate made the game even better.

The PS3 version of GTA IV doesn't have a better Framerate than the 360 version. The only reason anyone thinks that is because some people misread the IGN review.

I remember seeing it was 9am PST, it is 9am EST. so around 4 hours (because EST is four hours behind PST)

Yeh, they left them out because they knew, if planes were in the game, we'd see about 100 9/11 renactments on youtube in GTAIV within a hour of the game comming out. That and, apparently, since they are just doing once city, there's no real need to fly around since there is one airport and no random runways or anything. Can't wait to see how they improved the helicopter controls though :Ddonwoogie

Lol. Possibly it was a multitude of reasons. One of the things I loved doing in San Anreas, was spawning a plane on top of that tall sky-scraper in the city area of los santos, placing it on the dge of the building, then driving off and praying I can get it pull up before it crashed into the buildings below, Goldeneye style, but with a huge plane :D

Can't wait to see if I can do that with a helicopter in GTAIV. Push a helicopter over the edge, then jump in before it topples, then try and get it to take off before it hits the ground!

I don't know man, but here in Kuwait only two stores got it, one store is selling it for 40KD which is between $140-$150, and it is only the normal edition, damn them, and the other store sells it for 25KD which is between $70-$75, Im glad the other store exists, lol, I bought it with a DS3 for 40KD, good deal for me. :)

it was 1PM in Kuwait and a ton of people were waiting for it and I was one of them, I wonder how many people will be out there at night.

Man, the euphoria engine really making a big difference between any other current gen physics engine, I worried when I played Assassins Creed, I was thinking if the animations of GTA4 doesn't come close to AC's and it's going to be like last gen, the gameplay would be broken and don't feel next gen GTA, after playing the game I can tell you, the game's phyiscs are insane, I've experienced some special moments in the 30 minutes I've played, I won't spoil it for anybody, if any one interested, just PM me. :)

At last, I have the game, Im speechless, the game is not a game anymore, lol, it is very lively and 100 times better than the last gen GTA so yes, the impact of the game is exactly like when GTA3 been released on the PS2, GOTY 2008, but Im going to really decide which is GOTY when MGS4 comes out so Im holding my judgement until MGS4 brings a miracle to counter GTA4, yup thats how hard for any game to compete with GTA4.

Exactly how big is the city, like is it REALLY huge, how long would it take to walk form one end to the other?

Can you go into almost all the buildings?
