Dayum!
i wish they didn't continue the story of the first one as it had a great closure ....this kinda ruins that closure, however, it's ND so ...they'll pull it off.
God, I hate the audience. Shoot the ones that make noise. This should be possible in America.
But yes, holy shit, Y'Allah, let it come. I'm so happy that this is happening.
Hard to get excited for Uncharted DLC with The Last of Us 2 coming out. They finally learned that it's best to end PSX on a high note.
Someone needs to make them sit in a room and play The Division and Gears 4 to learn how to do responsive third person controls properly
let the fanboy circle jerk begin
@a-new-guardian: She's going to kill PC fanboys, xbots and Nintendo fanboys.every single one of them!
OMG!Naughty dogs indeed!
Was extremely unexpected.
This is what they should have been working on instead of another f****** Uncharted.
What they need to do:
A sequel? Wasn't the first one boring enough already? I stopped playing the last of us on ps3 after the black kid died, because I got soo bored, too many cutscenes and don't get me started on the brain dead ai. If I play a game, I want to play an actual game, not watch a fucking movie game.
How development starts at other studios: Lets do a design document and what should be the gameplay.
How development starts at Sony studios: **** everything. Let's do a pre-rendered CGI trailer with every resource we have to present it at the next show.

Oh please, pretty much the whole gaming world was expecting a sequel. Spare me.
This is MEGAOWNAGE on lems. If xbone was irrelevant before now it is something even less, it is nothingness, but even that is too much to describe the bone, we need a new term to encase what the xbone has become and a new term to describe the amount of ownage and butthurt this instills on lems. Something like Buttpwned or Bownhurted. Lems, make gaming a favor and retire, you can't subsist on the same area as Naughty Gods, you're incompatible with awesomeness and are lowering standards even by subsisting. TLHBB, TLHBO, TLHBMSBPO.
Thank you Sony.
Breath Of The Wind has shown exciting, incredible, exciting gameplay dozens of times.
This has some plastic faced girl sitting doing nothing.
It's too soon to jump on the hype train but I'm excited , hope it won't be a borefest like UC4 , less cinematic crap and more gameplay
@soulitane: "I was hoping they would tell a whole different story and let Joel's and Ellie's just be. "
Both characters sucked to me. The whole game was average.
People seem to find such great excitement and joy in the mundane these days, I just don't understand it.
@dynamitecop:
Ellie is annoying.
Much like Uncharted 4, I couldn't stand "playing" it enough to get to a point that I actually became annoyed by the characters, the "gameplay" is what drove me away.

This is why gaming is garbage.
Look at people getting mega hyped over a reveal trailer for a sequel that will most probably play it safe.

True, I mean some people claim to actually have stayed awake during the Halo 5 campaign.
I loved The Last Of Us it's a fantastic game. Any sequel is day one for me.

I really liked TLOU. Leagues better than UC, in my book. But I worry about a sequel - it feels like the kind of thing where they might a) play it totally safe mechanically, delivering the same gameplay, and b) fall back on increasingly absurd or overdramatic narrative turns in an effort to chase the impact of the story and characters in the first one. I'll definitely have my eye on this, but it feels risky
I was hoping they would tell a whole different story and let Joel's and Ellie's just be. I'll wait until I see the actual game to judge rather than using a trailer that shows no gameplay.
Actually I was hoping for something other than TLOU2 , a new different IP and new genre

Halo 5's story and its cohesiveness needed some work, but gameplay, the most important aspect of the game itself was top notch and engaging from beginning to end regardless of narrative and directional shortcomings.
I can't think of a single complaint that could be derived from Halo 5's functionality, not one, and regardless of the way the campaign shaped up it was fun enough to play and as a result tolerate the issues, the story was also decent enough to pull it all together. Then on top of all of that, you have without a doubt the best online FPS of this generation in tow.
Naughty Dog and their games don't have that going for them, they don't have solid gameplay to fall back on, they don't have solid multiplayer to fall back on, and when you realize there's very little actual game there you begin to not care about the story, the narrative, the characters, the world you're experiencing and so on and so forth, it's a boring slog.
If story is the vehicle and fuel is the gameplay that powers this vehicle, Naughty Dog's games are perpetually on E. Naughty Dog is a Ferrari out of gas, 343i and Halo 5 is a Subaru STI with a full tank... For Naughty Dog there's nothing powering their stories, there's no drive for the player, there's no incentive for the player to continue on by anything more than their conveying of a story.
Naughty Dog has made it abundantly clear that steamrolling gameplay is okay, they have made it clear that they want as little player interaction with the game as they can allow, and they have made it clear that they have no problem insulting peoples intelligence in the process by removing as much of the player as possible.

In what planet in yours.? Because here on earth most games are first shown with damn CG in fact Recore and scalebound were both announce by CG so are many of MS games.
But as always you blind lemmings eyes doesn't let you see peasant.

No one but the most hardcore lems really cares about Halo 5 anymore, it was released and forgotten about as soon as it came out. People everywhere care about TLOU 2 for a reason, it's the sequel to one of the best games of last gen. TLOU is know for its gripping story, memorable characters, and solid gameplay. No amount of salt from you will change this fact.

If ya say so
Sony is doing what they do best....showing trailers for games with no gameplay and no release in sight. Fanboys drool....I will play this though, whenever that will be.
The only really good thing that came out of this event. Though it was a given it was coming. The rest was just a waste of time

If you thought the gameplay was top notch in Halo 5 I can't think of a single FPS you wouldn't describe as 'top notch'. It was dull as **** not just because they thrashed the idea of explaining the characters and story but because the entire thing was geared towards MP. I can't think of a more boring FPS I have played there must be one but nothing springs to mind. Truly terrible game.
You are entitled to your opinion of TLOU, I thought the gameplay was excellent, better than most Uncharted games apart from 2 and about 5 billion trillion times better than Halo 5 and you seem to have no problem with 353 insulting people's intelligence by completely omitting plot and narrative and delivering the most plain by the numbers drivel imaginable for one of the biggest FPS franchises of all time.
In other words, you hate Sony and love MS. Everything you post is based purely on that. One of the most popular games of last gen (and to an extent this one) and you want to shit on it because it didn't come from Microsoft while at the same thing bigging up absolute drivel from MS. That's kind of pathetic dude.
