As much as I am excited about this, I'm also semi annoyed that its being announced so early. They clearly said its a long ways off. I'm pretty sick of the industry announcing things years out. This clearly won't be like The Last Guardian or Final Fantasy XV (or...Versus XIII lol) but this doesn't do anything for me. The game did so well that it was almost guaranteed that another would happen; keep the suspense and do what Bethesda did with Fallout 4.

This is what they should have been working on instead of another f****** Uncharted.
What they need to do:
Get rid of that cinematic walking shit that plagued UC4
No more *find plank/ladder to traverse to the next section "puzzles"
More in depth crafting system
No more random time skips that ruin the pacing and impact of scenes
More emphasis on exploration and finding supplies
I, like @TheEroica, were in the minority. See there are things that are stellar, amazing pieces of entertainment that in our opinion should be left alone. E.T. is one such thing. Spielberg made certain to NEVER sell the rights to it because he knew it would have been milked with sequels. I thought TLOU was similar. A great game with that had a high point for the medium in story telling. ND are talented enough to have just moved on with a new IP. That said, I like your suggestions and would add: don't put optional dialogue like in Uncharted 4 that has no bearing on the game's turn out, like choosing what to tell brother about.

I haven't played it in a while myself but apparently its much improved with the last major patch, and i've been hearing good things about the survival mode.
I put 50 hours into the game around launch and thought it was pretty good as far as loot shooters go.

I think it's him lol. You post the meme when someone posts something that is so far from the norm. I get what you're saying and I agree to some extent but you have to realize you're asking too much from AAA dev teams. Creating AAA games is risky and expensive. Most of these publishers aren't going to throw millions of dollars on new risky ideas because they don't want to potentially lose money. Sequels are a safe bet because they've been tried and tested and are almost always guaranteed to make money. There are plenty indie devs and games that are innovative and try new things. So while we do get a lot of AAA sequels things are still balanced out by awesome indies with their innovative titles. There has never been a better time to be a gamer IMO.

Yes there are innovative indies but the AA gaming space has all but disappeared. Its either AAA, which as you point out are mostly sequels or indies. AA development was a great thing that just isn't prevalent anymore. I am enjoying gaming but It has been better in the PS2/Xbox/GC era imo.
