It's looking really good, though I'm a bit anxious to see the monsters in gameplay.

Easily GotY. I have a hard time remembering another game that had GotY on lock down as much as this one does.

I have been resisting watching the footage for 2 days but I am a human afterall ..... the game looked pretty broing for the first couple of mintues but towards the end especially the last guy you were chasing, the game got so exciting .... the combat in this game will be something fresh finally.

Was hoping to see a different level beside the one from the E3 demo, oh well looking forward to playing this game when it comes out.

Very, very impressive. The original E3 demo was more shock and awe (and in a lot of ways, more impressive), but it's nice to see that the game can be played so many different ways, which was something I was concerned about.

Will it be GoTY? No idea. There are a ton of amazing looking titles slated for next year, or without release dates (if Watch Dogs lives up to its promise and releases next year, I can see it winning GoTY). Either way, it's damn impressive, and I can't help but feeling that Uncharted was just a lead up to all this.

Consider me all but sold on this one.

-DarthMaul-
Eh I couldn't disagree more. The worry after E3 was that the game looked so heavily scripted. Like no way Ellie could react that natural to different events and the way you fought some of the baddies also seemed very scripted. By showing the same level it became clear that there is a lot of freedom how to approach it. That is super impressive. If they show a new level people would naturally assume it was just another scripted on the rails section.

You're trying to troll the troll? Good luck. Outright lying isn't really good trolling though. Stalker is anything but generic, especially compared to CoD.

Not liking Uncharted is not the same as not liking ND.

And this is a far more serious take on a game from ND and looks very promising. No sarcastic flat humour with 1 dimensional characters.

the last part from the video when the thug was hiding almost give me a heart attack when i saw him coming from behind with the molotov

the ai is too smart in this game

and i also like the fact that any part from the game will cought on fire like the wall and the thug legs

Yeah it's unsettling when he's hiding on you and I absolutely love the dynamic shift in power that occurs. At the start you are the one hiding and outsmarting them and suddenly when you chase him blindly the gameplay shifts to the opposite. Now you're the one searching and the enemy was hiding. It's a nice swap around and more games need to do it. The AI seems to be top notch. Well, except for one part where I noticed a dude popping his head up for too long and waiting for you to shoot but minor nit pick.

Can't wait to see how the final fleshed out game looks. Seems right on track for success

You realized the first E3 demo in this exact same level played out completely different, right?

Not completely differently, it still had the same voice prompts and set pieces, the E3 demo was also pressed for time and half as long.

Now, if this game had an open world and was dynamic with the set pieces, say instead of finding those corpses in the bath tub, they are now hanging from the ceiling, now that would be impressive.

Look, there are multiple routes, and the level of interaction is fantastic. But it IS Scripted.... the enemies trigger and patrol areas when you get near ect. To people not understand game mechanics these days or what? Valve does this, TF2 and Dota 2 have great animations and interaction between characters. this is essentially what naughty dog are doing. But gameplay wise this is NOTHING new. its flash people. get that into your heads.

again with the scripted ??!! a game is scripted when every time you play it will play the same but here you have two demo play way different than each other for the same E3 demo and you still say scripted if that so every game is scripted then

[QUOTE="sts106mat"][QUOTE="shadiezz2012"][QUOTE="sts106mat"] left 4 dead 1 and 2 are always random zombies, they never play the same twice.

are you really trying to compare the ai in the last of us to left4dead ??

no, the AI in left dead is just "kill the player". the impressive thing with Left4Dead is the AI director which looks at how the 4 players are playing and throws in curve balls to mess with them and makes it different every single time, if Last of Us has an AI director which changes things up based on how you play, that is a very neat feature. By "scripted" what people are saying here is that every time you walk through that ruined house, you WILL encounter that same enemy in the same place, how you deal with, i.e. shoot / punch / run, that is not the scripted part they are talking of.

this is a story driven game of course you will find them there but that not the point the game is non scripted when it come to how you play and how the enemy react look here look at the way he took this guy off guard look how the ai react or look here if he did not point his gun at this guy he would have noticed the one attacking him look when the thug grabed him and tell the others to shoot him how many games have that kind of that dynamic AI.. at all ??? and there is more but i think you see what i'm talking about and that what makes the game sooo awesome

i've already said it looks good, what people are saying is that these scenarios are scripted and will play out the same, if that is not the case the AI is great. you seem awful excited for this game dude, i hope it lives up to your high expectations. I tend to avoid reading / watching too much stuff about games i am excited for, i prefer surprises and it also helps avoid becoming too hyped disappointed in the end.sts106mat

you mean the story right ???

every game is scripted when it come to story

but the way you plays has nothing to do with the story scripting

and as i said the game is not linear

it allow you to explore

you can even avoid them

but if you are talking about what you saw is just scenarios and scripted

then i think you got the wrong idea about what i'm talking about

non of what you saw is scripted

only the elevator part

nothing more

and yes i'm excited for it and as of now i'm going media blackout for this one

[QUOTE="sts106mat"]i've already said it looks good, what people are saying is that these scenarios are scripted and will play out the same, if that is not the case the AI is great. you seem awful excited for this game dude, i hope it lives up to your high expectations. I tend to avoid reading / watching too much stuff about games i am excited for, i prefer surprises and it also helps avoid becoming too hyped disappointed in the end.shadiezz2012

you mean the story right ???

every game is scripted when it come to story

but the way you plays has nothing to do with the story scripting

and as i said the game is not linear

it allow you to explore

you can even avoid them

but if you are talking about what you saw is just scenarios and scripted

then i think you got the wrong idea about what i'm talking about

non of what you saw is scripted

only the elevator part

nothing more

and yes i'm excited for it and as of now i'm going media blackout for this one

lol I'm sure the next piece of info shown or released you will be right back hyping it :P

And let's just say it seems to be as dynamic as they say but without playing it none of us know how non scripted or scripted it really is. Looks on the right track though.

I hardly see any gameplay from this demonstration. I saw a movie, though.
