TLOU isn't even a exclusive anymore. Its a multiplat game.

On the contrary, I played the entirety of it, except the DLC. I simply found the gameplay elements, namely the stealth and crafting to be absolutely laughable. Having a kid taking down dozens of men with a little knife in a row is ridiculous. The game's gameplay elements are so poorly construed, the only emphasis was left on the movie segments.

TLOU is vastly superior to Bayo 2 in every way possible. Its one of the greatest games of all time while Bayo 2 is mediocre.

I told ya.... Its a Survial TPS with a splish splash of Stealth.

Haven't played Bayonetta 2 but it looks pretty good. TLOU is one of my all-time favorites though, so it will be hard to beat.

Bayonetta 2 will be forgotten about in a few months time The Last of Us shall be remembered for its superb storytelling,brilliant voice acting and brilliant gameplay mechanics.

Yes, I am. Considering the high praise that highly-hyped games get these days from most "critics" that seems to miss most of the flaws a game actually has leads me to believe that they don't honestly approach the game and let the hype train colour their impressions of the game (and in some cases, the review packages/boons they get for reviewing them).

Then we have to bring into account the whole Activision-type deals where reviewers get flown to resorts to review games and such.

Saying a game is good "because all these reviewers said it is" is a fallacy of appealing to popular opinion, or argumentum ad populum. You can justify why you like the game and why you think it's great. That's all I truly care about and respect that opinion. I can see where you are coming from as I am enjoying the atmosphere (the narrative is slow moving but I am enjoying that as well) but at least you can admit there are flaws and that you are able to overcome them when playing.

That is an honest opinion you are giving. Saying the game is "the greatest game ever made" is not. Saying "it is the most enjoyable game I have ever played" is honest as well.

You see where I am coming from? Blind praise of a game does nothing to prove it's quality. It just cements the fact that the critical "review industry" is a largely fickle bunch that care more about hype and material benefits to giving games glowing praise even if doesn't truly deserve it.

Very few reviewers these days are truly honest anymore, or even remotely critical. And I'm starting to really like Gamespot's approach to reviewing games again, they are being honest and openly admitting (rather indirectly mind you) to their biases (such as the Hyrule Warrior's reviewer saying they are a huge Zelda fan, obviously that colours his perception of the game).

Does it really matter? Last of Us got the most GOTY awards ever to be given one title. People like LOU or they like Bayonetta. Why base it of anyone elses opinion? As for people dissing anyone for liking either game and dissing the other console. Grow up...

Cant vote because I haven't played Bayonetta 2, but I have a strong suspicion it doesn't have a better story than TLOU.

Have you noticed this non sense regarding flops in SW also? A flop is not a concept. We vote in a Hype thread and the score that gets the most votes is the official hype. If the game fails to meet said score and is scored lower, its a flop. Period, end of discussion. This is how the meta game works here. Calling something like Infamous SS or Sunset Overdrive a flop as I saw some doing is fuckin stupid because these games met their hype. It really comes from an over zealous emotional investment in a console manufacturer that has no clue who we are.

Yeah by about the 6th hour through TLOU I was picking it to pieces for all the crap I could see, by the time the game was 3/4 through I didn't give a crap about the characters or the story, I just wanted it over. I just wanted to see the ending that was talked about with shock on these forums, needless to say I didn't care for what happened in the end, must have had something to do with the fact these two characters have killed hundreds of people that also must have family and people they care about. I felt more emotion for that Father and Son.

@jg4xchamp: Thats what TLOU is. just finished the game. It is one of the best i have ever played or experienced in my 20 years of gaming across many platforms.

Its funny that there is a lot of Xbox fans here saying Bayonetta without actually playing it, same goes for votes.
