[QUOTE="MirkoS77"]I've already played this, it's on my shelf and I replay it often. Unless it offers drastic differences and more dungeons, what's to warrant a purchase? HD is not enough. I wish Nintendo would get some sense in their head and do, say, a Super Metroid remake with orchestrated music, lighting, all in HD. That I'd go ballistic for. This? There's just not that much difference from what this can offer as oppossed to the GC version. This again strikes me as a lazy, complacent attempt by Nintendo to "expand" their Wii U library while putting in the least amount of effort possible. I have no problem if they're remaking REALLY old classics like SM as the generational gap is so large that it would greatly benefit the experience, but when only marginal improvements are likely, their resources should go to where they're needed: new games. I have a feeling this is just a snack in preparation for the massive main course that's still in the making. I've never known high quality Ninty 1st party games to come out in rapid succession. It's always one helluva wait.
That said, I see nothing wrong with giving fans something they love and making it prettier, as well as introducing a lot of new owners of the Wii-U to a game they most likely missed a decade ago. That's easy money Nintendo would be ignoring if they didn't release something like this. I can't comment on how much "effort" it took to just make the game look better for Wii-U, but hey it's guaranteed money and genius on Ninty's part. Fans are gonna eat this up and be (hopefully) content until the next megaton, despite playing the same game they played years ago with a fresh coat of paint.
Perhaps it's always one helluva wait because Nintendo is using resources that they could be allocating towards their new game towards remaking an older one. I also see nothing wrong with putting out a redone version, but when Nintendo (who is notorious for taking years to get most of their big hitters on the shelves) takes their sweet time, it frustrates me to see a game that's already been released be given attention when that effort could be put towards getting a new Zelda out the door much sooner. But there's not as much profit in that. It's a simple cash-grab, and by the responses and enthusiasm in this thread I've no doubt that it will succeed. I just think people are so desperate for another Zelda and know how infrequent its releases are that they'll eat up anything they can get their hands on. And as I said, in comparison to creating a whole new game, a fresh coat of paint with a few additions and tweaks here and there takes relatively little work to do. Nintendo, as it knows its audience is so rabid and drooling for the next game, is using that fact to play them like puppets, and they are dancing their wallets to the strings. But if people love it, then more power to them.
