[QUOTE="Thunderdrone"]where did this unrefutable fact of life come from?subrosianMe. Hence why it's irrefutable. - You can argue and scream all you'd like, Epic Mickey will never be remembered as anything more than the colossal failure that it is... in ten years no one will praise the game. The mark it will leave on history will be a bargain bin and a general "huh? Never heard of it". Mediocre platformers were a dime-a-dozen in the 16-bit era, I could easily rattle off 200 games you were guaranteed to have been exposed to if you were a child in that era that you will have to Google search just to try and claim you remember. - And that's the point. This one is nothing special. If you happen to like it, well there's no accounting for taste... someone buys Sam's Club Cola too, that doesn't mean they're competing with Jones soda, y'know? You know, there really is nothing left to be said on my part, this post speaks for itself

[QUOTE="Willy105"] Nope. This was all Disney's idea, and they hired someone they could trust, like Warren Spector, to do the project. All the problems of the game came during production, not during conception.Mario1331
Kids won't even notice the problems. Its not the game people thought it might be.
After seeing the actual gameplay at E3, I have no idea why anyone kept hyping Mickey Mouse in a humorous lollipop dreamland with a halloween filter and some throw-backs to Disney heritage. None the less, the concept art does not match the final product. This is the case with most games but its blatantly obvious production couldn't meet expectation on the Wii.
to be fair..... expectations were matched, its not about a more powerful system. if you read the GI cover of this game before it was changed it was looking exactly like the concept art, bu then disney changed it.
So now I've got professionals telling me I'm right and fanboys telling me I'm wrong for suspecting the original concept was nuked, but what remains is the fact its mediocre and very overhyped. Oh well, tune in next week for another exciting episode of Flopbusters! :PSo, Nuts & Bolts >>> Epic Mickey?nervmeister
Score wise yes. It's also better than Gran Turismo 5.
But Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts is still an Abomination to the Series.

But a fun game nontheless :) I dare you to tell me creating a giant purple box that travels around on bouncing springs, whose armourment is a boxing glove on an extendable arm is bad! Will Warren Spector finally be banished to the realm of low-tier game developer from now on like John Romero? This is his third flop in a row. runbleduckYes, he's done! Thats how influencial Gamespot's review is.
Yeah.. but GT5 flopped serious hard here. With Epic Mickey, Gamespot is like the lowest score out of all the reviews. On average this game is probably a 7.5-8.0. It's definitely not a 6.0 like Gamespot gave it. GT5 on the other hand was score pretty close to it's average. Looks like Gamespot got that review score right.2nd Mega flop of the week.

Looks like everyone was off the mark. That means you'd all be good analysts since they always are off the mark. :P

Issues, definately. Abomination, never :PHmmm this is one of the very few times where I actually agree with many aspects in a GS review. Im pretty far into the game (about 9 hours) and the game faces tons of really poor desision making. The production seems top notch YET theres points where a player might say, "why did they do that?" The complaints with the camera are also not exaggerated, the camera is incredibly annoying and not cohesive.
I dont mind the combat or the wacky boss fights, and the story is really good, infact there is a lot of good in this game. Its just that, some pretty big flaws dapen the experience big time. If the camera and some of the elements (especially the bland 2d platformer, my lord) the game could have easily been a 8.5-9.0.
I know, right? Man, I wish I could be paid six figures to be wrong more than half the time! :oLooks like everyone was off the mark. That means you'd all be good analysts since they always are off the mark. :P

Colossal Failure??? What??? Is GS score THAT important to you??? Because last time i checked the game had an average of 78 in MC, so much for your "colossal failure"

Just ignor him. Don't care what he says because at least this time he predicted something right on a hype thread unlike the 5.5 he gave sonic colors and it ended up getting an 8.0 on Gamespot. He's someone that works for the game industry or has connections with the game industry and I think you should take his opinion with a grain of salt. My definition of a colossal failure for a game would be a game that literally gets under 4.5 on gamespot.
