The Order 1886 vs Ryse Son of Rome which have better graphics?
Honestly I liked both games, graphically I'd say they're fairly close in quality, however The Order is a little more diverse in gameplay, so I'll use that as the tie breaker.
I'd also recommend both, most the people who hate on the games never played them.
Havnet played Ryse so I cant comment but I had some fun with the order and didnt thought it was as bad as people made it out to be
edit: oh, if you mean graphically then Ryse 4k (PC) > The Order > Ryse X1
Both games suck so bad. I don't care how good the graphics are. One game is a poor God Of War rip off and the other is a poor Gears of War rip off.
However in the graphics department, The Order 1886 wins. The amount of detail in that game is amazing. I wish they would have spent as much time on the gameplay, as they did on the details.
@lundy86_4:
Blurrines in the Order? Game has one of the best and clean image quality.
I played Ryse on PC in higher settings than Xbone version ( higher res, better AA, sharper textures, better shadows, better framerate etc...)
The Order has better graphics. Period!

No it doesn't, the game is extremely blurry at all times, there's literally no contesting this, it's as plain as day. These screen caps are taken from a state of zero movement, completely stationary, the game is blurry beyond belief...
Ryse, the order is disgustingly blurry and I think Ryse has better details anyway. Not only that but the would be 1080p vs 900 doesn't come into play because the order isn't really 1080p.
Graphically, yeah probably Ryse... and I actually didn't mind the game either.
It wasn't a horrible game, it was just a very generic Roman story, I don't see why it got panned as hard as it did.
Yeah it certainly wasn't anything special... but I enjoyed the story and combat enough. I think it's worth a play-through if you get it cheap.

All right, lem. So you posted a compressed image with lower resolution. Definition of blurriness by some Xboner. How about this one ( it's not even a photomode where you can turn off movie filter ) :

Literally every image you posted is suffering from this same blurry image quality because THE GAME IS BLURRY, you don't seem to understand what you're trying to discuss here...
Funnily enough, I was just playing Ryse today! I gotta say, it's not looking as good as I remember playing it the first time. It's not even the best looking Xbox One game anymore, let alone being as fantastic visually as The Order.

Oh yeah, sure it is. Or maybe your eyes barely have seen a proper 1080p game on Xbone. Sorry, dude, The Order is not blurry. You posted a worse shots with worse quality image than i am. It's not even a proper jpg compression. Btw., .jpg compress the image quality as hell. :
Here are the proper links ( and maybe you didn't noticed what i wrote i previous post : it's not even a photomode where you can turn off MOVIE FILTER :

Graphically, I'd say they both appear equal in quality, I probably share an equal amount of interest in playing either as well; that is, maybe one day, but I'm in no hurry.
Played Ryse on the pc at 1440p and It wins out. Not that great a game but as far as looks go it destroys The order 1866
@ribstaylor1: I assumed he was talking about the X1 version. Never played Ryse on the PC, but The Order is head and shoulders above the X1 version visually speaking

@imt558: Yeah, it's blurry.
^^^
@imt558: There is an overall image blur, and it's a detracting quality. The game still looks good, but denying there isn't excessive DoF/image blurring in effect, is just asinine.
I'm not denying anything. But there are 2 terms of blurriness, which that lem, NyaDC, can't understand. Blurriness caused by DOF, blurriness caused by lower resolution. The Order has an excellent image quality with proper usage of DOF. Maybe you don't like DOF, but saying that game is blurry because DOF is just fuc**** dumb. Ryse has a great Bokeh DOF. MGS V has great amount of DOF ( more than The Order ) and nobody said that game is blurry.

Got a problem, dude?
@imt558: You literally just said that it's not blurry, and then spoke about a movie filter, which is what exactly? Are you talking general motion blur?
It uses excessive DoF, and it's likely an attempt to give the image a higher-quality movie type look. However, it just ends up detracting from the overall quality of the image. Still a great looking game, there's no contesting it. Though the aspect ratio decision is just dumb as shit... Though it does allow clipping of the rendered image.

The game has a post-process filter placed over the entire screen which blurs everything in sight, this isn't even about the depth of field, that adds even more blur on top of this plus the excessive motion blur, this isn't an attack, this isn't some 'lem' motivated anything and I'm not saying the game looks bad. You're being an idiot right now trying to rationalize what is by all accounts a stupid development decision that destroys image quality and definition in what is being rendered. It's not clear, it's not crisp, it's blurry, everything is blurry, because it's inherently designed with post processing muddying up the final image output.
Stop being "that guy" right now, you're not getting anywhere trying to delusionally rationalize this, the game on the whole is very blurry, anyone with functional eyes can see that, it is what it is, move on with your life.
Do you even own this game? I severely doubt it...

Yes, i said that game is not blurry and i think that DOF usage is not excessive. And i don't call some a game is blurry because DOF usage or movie filter usage. DOF has its uses in games. And yes, i'm talking about motion blur.

Yes, that first image is blurry, you don't seem to understand what you're seeing or talking about here, there is a post process filter over the entire image throughout the entire game. It's not motion blur, it's not depth of field, although those make everything worse, they're not what I am talking about. It's a post process filter, one that adds a slight blur to the entire image, nothing looks crisp, nothing looks sharp, definition is lost, everything is slightly blurry regardless of scenario or what you're doing, it's a filter...
Of course I own a PlayStation 4...

It's not motion blur, it's not DOF. Which "post process" filter is then?
This is blurry IQ caused by low res in another game on Xbone ( even The Order has way better image quality )

It's nearly the same type of filter which is present in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, albeit implemented in The Order to a more dramatic level.
