Ryse, easily, especially on PC. The Order would have incredible graphics if it didn't have post processing Vaseline smeared all over it.
Agreed.
@ribstaylor1: I assumed he was talking about the X1 version. Never played Ryse on the PC, but The Order is head and shoulders above the X1 version visually speaking
This.
Anyone that thinks the blurry Xbone version competes with The Order needs new eyeballs. On PC it looks incredible due to higher res and better image processing but on Xbone it's a blurry 900p mess.
It's nearly the same type of filter which is present in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, albeit implemented in The Order to a more dramatic level.
You said that game is blurry because somebody here said it is. LOL.
Clean image quality is a key factor in delivering a strong filmic look and The Order: 1886 turns in a solid performance here. One of the first controversies surrounding the game is its 2.40:1 aspect ratio which renders fewer pixels while maintaining 1:1 pixel mapping on native 1080p displays. With its accompanying, rather heavy post-processing pipeline, there are compelling arguments that this approach doesn't produce results substantially better than sub-native titles like Ryse at 900p but, in motion, finer details are visible and fewer subpixel artefacts interfere with the image. The image is predominately soft, but more subtle sharp details still manage to shine through, creating a nice contrast. It may not be to everyone's taste but The Order: 1886 features some of the best image quality you'll find on console at the moment.
As i said, game has one of the best IQ this gen on consoles. Game is not blurry like you think it is. Better luck next time.http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2015-the-order-1886-tech-analysis

Jesus dude just give up, it's got post-process filtering over the image, it looks blurry as a result... This isn't something you can win, people have eyes, the end...
P.S. I said what game is blurry because somebody said it was?

Yes! You posted images with really baaad compression. And you also quoted a member who said that game is blurry just to counter my post and also you repeated the same by itself. I said that game isn't blurry and the game has one of the best IQ on consoles. And i have eyes too. And also gave you the digital foundry link. But of course, you won't accept what they say about the "The Order". They said - It may not be to everyone's tasteThe Order: 1886 features some of the best image quality you'll find on console at the moment..
Good? Good!

Oooo, let's all pick out quotes
"This remarkably detailed scene is marred ever so slightly by limited texture filtering. Even from this angle, the floor becomes quite blurry just a short distance from the player. Strong specular serves to accentuate this artefact."
"Texture filtering is another key point in delivering excellent image quality and it is here that The Order: 1886 stumbles. Despite the realistic depiction of materials, surfaces are sometimes tarnished by noticeable blurring at oblique angles. Secondary objects, such as wooden tables or push carts, showcase these artefacts quite noticeably and detract from game's sense of realism."
"The Order: 1886 moves away from the sharp edges one typically associates with real-time visuals by focusing more on a soft, temporally stabile display"
"The image is predominately soft"
"These two elements produce an image that some may find overly soft"
Jesus dude just give up, it's got post-process filtering over the image, it looks blurry as a result... This isn't something you can win, people have eyes, the end...

Dude, the game is blurry, what more needs to be said, it's not an image problem, it's not a compression problem, it's a very clear post process which is added to the rendered image before it's outputted....
Why would I give a shit about Digital Foundry saying something that you're taking completely out of context? It is an impressive looking game and it is one of the best looking games released, that doesn't mean there's not a filter plastered over the image which reduces the final image draw, which there is and it does. It's meant to look filmic, that is the goal, that is why this filter is there, but the harsh reality is it may add to the presentation in that regard and under that context but in all reality, as far as fidelity is concerned, it harms the final image output, it makes it look undefined and blurred.
People have been saying this since day one, it's not something being made up, it's not some conspiracy, people say it in troves because of the simple and undeniable reality that it is blurry... We're not just making a bunch of shit up to troll you or pull your leg, it's the reality of the game, it's blurry.
@imt558: why would you pick a quote that states that the image is predominantly soft. That goes against the point you're trying to make.

DF said that The Order has one of the best image quality despite the cons which they've mentioned. And i also said that The Order has a great image quality in previous posts.
if Ryse is a playable game then it's better, I got the order, I don't care what damage control types say, it's not.
I seriously despise the terrible image quality of 1886. It's a bunch of stupid, cheap tricks specifically designed to cover for the weaker assets of the game and limit your visual clarity. Just smoke and mirrors. It's funny too, because it honestly didn't need it at all, it looks fine and has solid assets without the terrible filters.
Ryse wins by default by being on PC, even before we start comparing in-game assets.
And either way, both games are bland and dumb, so really, who cares? Both have been beaten graphically at this point, arguably were never the best graphics in the first place, and neither game is good enough to stand on anything but their gimmicky, outdated, tech demo graphics.
The Order.
The blurry effect in The Order seems to be a design choice as the textures aren't blurry.
It's to add the effect of thick air. And not every area has it.
I always liked how Ryse looked better. Bear in mind I have played neither game (natively).
you are wise beyond your years
Both are worth playing once, albeit Ryse is hard to play through once you get bored of the combat. Honestly I'd take the order over ryse. As far as graphics I'd have to same both are gorgeous but the order is better.
Ryse looks decent on the pc but the pc doesn't have the power of the ouya.
Who cares if The Order looks blurry, it fits with the dirty and dark setting they have. It looks great for what it sets out to do.
The Order, for sure. If one is going to make an interactive movie of sorts, it makes more sense to go with a more traditional aspect ratio, and give seamless transitions from cutscene to player controlled areas.
Never found The Order as impressive as others do, so Ryse.
I vote for Infamous in the looks department tho (doesn't look technically better than PC version of Ryse, but I find it more aesthetically appealing). And unlike Ryse and The Order, it looks like a decent game as well.

you misunderstand the discussion clearly
@nyadc:
Lol! You telling me that i'm a fanboy. What are you then?
Sorry, blur effect where has its purpose for me is not the blurry game. Blurry image caused by low resolution and bad AA, that's a blurry game like the most games on Xbone caused by low res and bad AA.

The order uses blur and the over saturated post processing effects to coverup poor quality assets.......

So, an image that is blurry for a purpose other than low resolution, is not defined as blurry in your eyes? That is the most idiotic reasoning I have ever read. Blurry is blurry, whether it looks good doing it, or like complete shite... The Order tends to straddle that line.
