lol.... Lords Of The Fallen asks for gtx 560ti as recommended which is not that big of a jump in requirements. Then most gtx 560's only came with 1gb of Vram too so saying the 460 will stutter is such an uneducated guess when we have no idea how well the game will run to begin with. You have to take system requirements with a pitch of salt since there have been plenty of examples over suggesting.

While yes the PS3 didnt have a unified shader architecture gpu they did however use the SPE's to handle shader work for the gpu.

Most multiplats over the last few years had a 512mb vram min req. Now we have games being built for consoles that have 15x more ram than the consoles that all the past multiplats were built for.

Low settings will soon require about 5x the pc. No more 8600gt as the min req that we saw for years.

can you play all console games in all consoles? if not then stfu already

Whats more expensive, a pc to run all multiplat games the entire gen or ps4 and xbone? $800 for two prebuilt consoles isn't that much.

consoles hardly run games at 900p and gen is just starting in a couple of years games will run like crap just like the difference between ps3/360 and a modern pc. Some people like to enjoy the better things even if they cost a bit more, some are used to mediocrity, but its alright my dear peasant.

It makes them the most popular fast food restaurant known to man which is quite a feat. Obviously people find Mcdonalds to be better than it's competition.

You still haven't explained why we shouldn't compare all console sales to all pc sales. Don't tell me because it's the rules, tell my why it's the rule.

So enlighten me on why we can't compare all console GTA 5 sales to the pc's best selling games.

PC is a system type, console is a system type.

GTA V sold 13 million copies in first 24 hours while pc's fastest selling game Diablo 3 sold a mere 3.5 million copies in the first 24 hours. This is why all the big budget publishers and devs decisions revolve around consoles.

So you're saying that if there were only one console brand that console revenue and exclusives would drop by 66%? That GTA 5 would have sold 16.5 million copies instead of 33 million copies if it were only on PS 3?

Last gen PS3 had 256mb VRAM and 360 had a max I don't remember but it was around 300mb. So if the new consoles can only use around 3gb VRAM it is still around 15x.

You speak as if the 360 used all 512 mb as vram.

Skyrim has a 512mb vram min req. What does skyrim do on low pc that the consoles don't?

Your an idiot or troll I dont know which.....maybe both? Because yes skyrim used all its available memory on the 360 all 512mb for both system and vram. Do you remember bethesda having one hell of a time trying to get dawnguard levels to run the PS3? It was because of its split memory pools its didnt have enough memory, and they had to trim things down to save memory. the 360 is able to allocate different amounts based on its needs, and to fact that the 360 looks better then the PS3 version means that its using more then 256mb.

Now do you have any idea how pc's store and process data vs like 360? guess not, because you would know that the 360 streams its data into the ram and when a new cell loads it dumps the old because of limited resources. On pc its does not stream the same way and needs to store most of the needed assets and keep its, hence one of the reasons why the game loads so much faster on pc vs the 360.

Skyrims minimum system requirement of 512mb is wrong since I could play the game on my 8800GTS 320mb with medium settings, sliders at middle,1080p, with fps around 30's with some dips in the 20's if I used medium textures(which is what the 360 mostly used), or with more constant dips in the 20's and even some down peaks in the 10's if I used high textures.

He was talking about 8800GT 512mb memory buffer vs 8gb from these new consoles when in fact they will only use upto 3gb which is only 6x more.
