Both your staments are rediculous - if Sony inflated PS3 sales by including PS2 sales for two years, then the argument is 100% valid if they did not remove those numbers from thier total sales.

Microsoft does not include RROD re-buys. Also, that argument has a lot of holes in it. If the 360's sales numbers were inflated by RRoD re-buys, than the 360 would have the highest attachment rate of any console in history - by a wide margin. The software sales contradict your "re-buy" theory.

They did not include consoles they replaced from RRoD warranties. The argument that their total sales is artificially inflated by some massive RRoD re-buy number is countered by 360 software sales. If there are significantly fewer *actual* 360 owners, then the attachment rate of 360 games is the greatest in history.

Are you trying to tell me that 1 out of every 2 or 1 out of every 3 360 owners bought MW3? I am sure Activision would like to know that.

Something to be expected. It was an eventuality due to their differing business models.

This is the impact that the online barrier on 360 has. I think the 360 version sold more but still has alot less players.

No those are not counted,but that is not a re buy unit,because when you send it for repairs is free,re buy is when your unit out of warranty and you have to buy a new one,i had 2,my brother in law 3,not every one is like this,but many are the stories.

Halo sold almost 9 million on xbox,while selling 25 million units you do the math.

There is no a certain number of units resold since Gamestop or many other don't ask if you previously owned a 360,but i am sure it was on the millions probably more than 15 millions,funny if you actually see xbox live you will find something odd,ony 46 million had open an account silver or gold,that leaves some 30 million units who had not even open a silver account don't you find that od in this era.?

PSN accounts gratly out number PS3 numbers,the reason was say to be multiple profiles,but on live you can do that to on silver,i have 3 different many did open accounts with different mails to get a free month of xbox live,still the numbers of total account fell way short of the numbers of hardware sold,when the 360 was say to be more active online,broken 360.?

I still dont know how Lems got the idea that PS3 has a smaller online userbase? BF3 sold more on Xbox 360, yet PS3 still has more players online each year. I believe its because you have to pay to play online on Xbox 360.

Instead we get crickets from their PR department, and combined PS2 and PS3 numbers from their finance department. It's pretty definite that the PS3 is still sitting firmly in 3rd place. Not that it really matters to anyone but the hardest of the hardcore fanboys anyway.
