The Unfinished Swan GS Review (6.5) Cows cannot catch a Break

I'm starting to get P*ssed off here, this game has been given fantastic reviews and flops here, this Effen site needs to stop being biased.

I didn't hype this game anyway, so my care-o-meter is 1%.

That does seem like an incredibly odd thing to criticize in a game of this type. It would be like knocking Dear Esther for having shallow gameplay. :?

Ohwell, I aleady had no interest in buying it. The game certainly looks cool but I'm not spending $15 on a game that's less than 2 hours.

anyways, from what I saw of the game it looks great and may fit my tastes. The GS reviewer didnt like it much and I'll respect that. Though an 80 on metacritic isnt something to look behind.

Also, I dont understand why people take GS opinions here as only one entity. The one that reviewed Fable: The Journey wasnt the same that reviewed Unfinished Swan so why are poeple stating that Fable:TJ is the better game?

Actually they stopped showing the critics in reviews a while ago. I think it was due to Caroline Petit getting harassed.

Can I review games? I think it's a valid question. I've never seen him review any other games or post on the forums. He wasn't in the video review, so I guess he is some freelance guy. senses_fail_06

What are your qualifications in comparison to his? What work history do you have? Have you written for a major website before? Do you have experience writing analytical reviews?

Yeah. Whenever he would give a review the comments section was basically just nothing but kids calling him a freak and stuff like that. Shortly after they just stopped showing the critic in their reviews.

When I watched a video of this earlier I didn't really see anything that caught my interest. Probably will try at a later point, or wait for it to be on PS+ in a year or so.

Weird, even GiantBomb is positive about this game. The game probably got docked for not having a gun, explosions or perks.
One of the more interesting features, being able to move and manipulate spatial geometry isn't mentioned...

This game has a 80 on meta...gets 65 here...a Kinect onrails game with a 60 meta gets 8.5. Lemspot confirmed.

Thing is GS basically never underrates a 360 game in this way. The only one they did that with was Halo Wars and that was a long time ago and I bet they were many butthurt lemmings. GS bias is too obvious and if they showed the same bias against the 360 the same would happen.kuraimen

Well, I'm pretty smart and can formulate a sentence pretty well. I also know *not* to put metal in a microwave.

But, anyways, I was just pointing out how volatile trusting the new guy is. He could be the next Aaron Thomas...a dark spot on Gamespot's review history. I'm pretty sure he gave a game positive comments for having "cool achievements" or something like that.
