No, sorry, with the PS3 you get better online, better hardware a motion sensitive controller + the back catalogue of the PS2 and PS so logically the PS3 > PS2 > PS hence it's price. it's just logical.

Doesn't matter since i'm obviously talking about the the SKU with the full backwards compatibility and even if the use of motion sensitivity haven't used to it's fullest it's still one thing that the PS2 didn't have, i mean it's just foolish to think that any of the last gen console are better than the current gen consoles be the Wii, the PS3, or the 360.

I'm Excluding the dreamcast of course.

Rest of the stuff are multiplats. Don't like the Wii don't buy it. That's all.

I don't think the Wii is the worst system ever made in general but rather, the worst 'mainstream' system ever produced in the history of gaming. I still don't understand how the gamecube couldn't have two add-ons and be a Wii: a wireless adapter and the remote. I never bashed brawl before but I saw a video of it and it looks akin to the Gamecube version in terms of visuals/artstyle. Every game produced in terms of control has not shown that motion is amazing nor s it used well enough so I question again what the hell is the point of the Wii?soulsofblayck

Tell me again, why those titles couldn't have been made on the GC? And also, exclude first party titles and you have in your list:

Zack and Wiki, Nights. Zack and Wiki is great but Nights is very mediocre. So that's just a testmanet to mediocre to downright awful third party with one or two tinges of a good game here and there.

I actually think the Wii is shaping up to be one of the better consoles of the past few years. With games like MP3, SMG, LoZ:TP, RE4:Wii (port or not, its the superior version) in it's first year. And a good second year coming up. Well few consoles really start picking up until about a year or two after its release. Compare the early PS2 launch titles like The Bouncer and Oni to some of the later ones like Metal Gear Solid 2.

I can definately see boundless potential in the Wiimote and as far as this generation goes, the Wii is by far the most versatile console on the market. True backwards compatability with the entire Gamecube catalogue, as well as downloadable retro games, and the ability to use the Gamecube or Classic controller if you're not up to handling the Wiimote.

The major downside is the actual Wii library but that is due to the fact that games cannot simply be ported over like PS3/360 games can. Downgrading the graphics and fine tuning the controls so they don't suck a donkeys left scrotal takes a lot of finess but is often reduced to random stick shaking.

Good read and we're very much alike, but sadly many will ridicule you. Its the worst console I've owned too (which includes every other Ninty console and several handhelds). At first I wasn't bothered about its miniscule upgrade under the hood, then the buzz of the controller wore off and I realised it was a pointless Gamecube spin-off. Not that I didn't like the Cube, it was awesome for its time like every other one of their platforms. Its not the same Nintendo anymore, they've become shallow. Your not alone friend.tomarlyn

Neh, 'twas very dissappointing. After the N64, I wasn't really expecting much 3rd Party support, but I was expecting games like OoT and SM64 quality level. Was dissappointed in Windwaker and SMS. Much preferred SMG and TP.

Well, that's your opinion. I own 15 games for Wii right now and I love every single on of them. The majority of them aren't FPS'ses either like you'd see on the 360/PS3. Wii excels in niche genres.manicfoot

The best console I have ever owned was the N64.

The worst one was the PS1. But that was because it broke a month after I got it. I didn't really get to play it much, so don't trust me on that.

Dreamcast was awesome BTW.
