I don't mind if it comes out to consoles as I prefer more people get to experience a great game.

The main reason I loved The Witcher 1 was for the story.

The story didn't feel as cliched as most video game stories.

There was no clear good or bad decisions for most of the game.

The music was also one of the things I loved and really helped with the atmosphere and immersion.

I can see CDprojeckt are still adding a lot of detail into the sequel. The new Dev Diary made more of this apparent too.

If the game does come out to consoles it will be like Dragon Age Origins but even a wider gap.

Dragon Age Origins felt clunky and slow on consoles while on PC it was smooth and fast.

Plus The Witcher 2 will most likely be modded to a high degree. Hopefully they release the dev tools to make it easier.

Well, it's official. The game will be ruined.

Actually I would find it hilarious that if after he sells everything and switches to consoles that CDprojeckt announces they are canceling the console version.

Look at it this way: we get semi-wonky ports, but infinitely better graphics and controls.

Even if you can't remap a key at least you have a mouse! Controller/console/console games FTL, big time.

You wouldn't last a week. I tried, consoles are seriously horrible for gaming compared to a PC. Give me a wonky port any day over the slow/bad graphics/terrible controls of a console. 30 FPS LOL, sub HD LOL, controller LOL, slow loading from disk LOL

Well I have been pondering this a while, as I made a blog not too long ago on the matter. The more time goes by, the more it seems PC gamers get treated as second ****citizens. Little things here and there build up overtime. Hell I was getting pissed last night when I went into Dead Space 2 to map some keys, just to find out that they still won't let you.

And switching fully to consoles to buy their games would help them more.

I seriously don't see the problem.

The only games that I even had to change the key mapping were ones like RTS and they had the feature.

If this is all it takes for you to give up PC gaming then you are going to dislike console gaming even more.

I wonder how ugly the game is going to look on consoles.

The minimum requirements to run it on PC are 3-4 times the power of a console.

It would be better if they bring it out for next gen consoles.

Its cool though, if they can sandwich a PC game into the consoles more power to them. Sounds like its deved for PC (i.e. not dumbed down) and POTENTIALLY ported to console.

This is the way to do it. Develop for the intelligent, give to the less intelligent, hope for the best.
