Hhhmmm announcing an XBox One S isn't ending it? Maybe you meant ending the bulky XB1? Yes, they are ended that particular Xbox One and replacing it with the XB1 S. Even after the Scorpio is released the XB1 S will still be on retail shelves.

So with Nintendo and Microsoft effectively releasing new consoles next year, this gen is pretty much over. Hopefully next gen is better because this one would have been better off skipped.

I wish Square Enix would sell Final Fantasy to somebody who gets why the series used to be great.

Final Fantasy XV downloadable demo was terrible. All of the gameplay shown for the game looked terrible. If this game turns out to be not terrible, I would be terribly surprised.

FFXV did look awful. 10 years for this?!

The logic is that many people would rather buy a console than build a PC, especially one that would have the power (theoretically) of a high end PC.

Why do people find that so hard to understand?

It's funny because Sony could come on tonight and give the same exact conference as last year and people will still say it was better.

I'm looking forward to Sony's like I was looking forward to MS's. I'm in the for the games.

For the most part, I thought it was a good conference. My top 3 favorite things from the conference were:

• The new Xbox Live features sound great for online gaming! This is one of the things that I love most about Xbox; they are always working to make online gaming better and making sure that Xbox Live continues to be the gold standard for online gaming.
• Sea of Thieves looks like so much fun to play with friends! This game has become one of my most anticipated games.
• Scorpio sounds amazing! I was iffy on the Scorpio when I first heard about it, but it looks like Microsoft is getting everything right with it. I'll definitely be trading in my Xbox One for the Scorpio when it is released.

What a garbage conference as usual. Sony could announce they are relaunching the PS1 and they would win E3. Pathetic.

I think at best Sony will only be able to match the specs. It looks like Microsoft went with the most powerful thing they could regarding size, power and price. Sony will never go back to PS3 tactics and build an $800 console and lose $100s on each one.

The Xbox One could have matched PS4, but they banked on Kinect instead which was a terrible move.

Just listened to the Scorpio announcement....compatible with Xbox One games and accessories, that pretty much seals the deal for me. Well done

FF XV has a massive budget and they are expecting 10 million sales to break even. They'll be lucky to hit half that after that showing. This could be the end of FF.

No it won't. It'll be no more then $500. They are waiting a year so developers can have games for it when it launches and for the price of the hardware to drop.

Yeah, that FF XV demo was confusing as can be. I was laughing at how many times the guy he was controlling got whacked by that hand and he never died. It was a bit ridiculous.

Some people just cant move on. They believe its never supposed to change or that ANY PC with Windows 10 will be able to run these games. Still need the hardware capable for gaming. MS is in all likelihood going to sell through their own W10 store only so one way or another you're gonna have to deal with them. Saying its on PC isn't going to be the same as saying its on Windows 10

All games compatible with PC from now on so that pretty much seals the deal for me, will go down and sell my Xbox next couple of days and upgrade my graphic card. Upgrading to windows 10right now, hope it get finished before the Sony conference. Well done MS.

Here is a fact. I can download and play games from the Windows 10 store. Or I can play on my Xbox One. The ability to have options is amazing. Really, why are people like yourself hating on this? If can do the same with Sony games I would be equally delighted.

Holdovers from an older era where exclusivity actually made sense.

I thought it was pretty good overall. I'm probably not going to buy the Scorpio, mostly because I have a PC and I don't need to buy one. I really like the push away from exclusivity solely on consoles. PC gamers aren't really competition for Microsoft, mostly because you have to be supporting them still through Windows 10 to have access. W10 isn't the most amazing OS ever, but I still like it especially considering it was free and now I can play these great games as well without forking out unnecessary money for a console to play some exclusives.

EDIT: Just wanted to add that Scorpio looks pretty awesome regardless.

No need to get a PC after Scorpio is released. Both can do 4K gaming. Future Win 10 games will end up on Scorpio anyway. There won't be much of a difference. Well done M$.

Agreed on that but point stands. To exclude one of a potential group means something is exclusive to those not included. These games wont see the light of day on Sony or Nintendo products, only on W10 OS or Xbox.

Much better than Bethesda and EA as far as showing games, not wasting time with talk, and showing actual gameplay. Plus it seems most of the games are coming out within the next 9 months or so. Something that the other two conferences couldn't promise.

Sony will need to have a good showing to outdo this.

Like told someone before, that is an opinion not a fact. Just like someone stating PC gaming is garbage or PS4 is awful or Xbox One is terrible.

This is going to be very hard for you to understand but some people ONLY game on consoles and prefer to game on consoles. I know, its weird people have preferences. Isn't that crazy. Almost as crazy as people not understanding such a simply concept.

PC do so much more than WIn 10 games or gaming, KB/M controls, graphic options/settings in games etc mmm yeah think that pretty big difference. It is nice to have one less box around for my needs. Well done MS.

But holy shit, this show has sucked so far. Every conference. Sucked.

All in all, it was a good show. It may not be XBox E3 of Dreams level big, but it definitely showed an ass ton of games and the future ahead is bright. No one can say they didn't do what they needed to do here. Scorpio going VR as well as 4K is a big deal to me, so I'm a pretty happy camper with this.

The con is a big one, though. A console with no real exclusives is just a very strange bird to me. I've been a PC gamer for a long time, so as happy as I am with the hardware direction and everything I'm still up in the air about buying a Scorpio. There's always next E3, though, and that could be where the hammer really drops.

Kinda disappointed really wanted a reason to buy an Xbox but nothing wowed me Sea of thieves looked fun and some of the indies looked great but I feel Project Scorpio is a slap in the face for people who adopted early and their remark "Well people will stand behind us software and hardware wise" kinda cocky and arrogant and don't be fooled I'd get mad at Sony for doing the same they should at least give an upgrade incentive for people with older devices, shitty of them, otherwise meh conference.

This. People don't realize that MS is trying to corner the market by consolidating 2 of the 3 platforms with the highest market share. Xbox brand is simply a platform to play PC games. MS realized that Xbox is pretty much a weaksauce PC, so they're offering two different SKU's of the same ecosystem. The Scorpio is just a high end PC version of the Xbox platform. It's like the difference between an iPhone 6 and an iPhone color.

- Terrible showing for FFXV. I've already played it so I know I want it, but that was a poor way to demo the game.

- We Happy Few has a neat setting, but so did Contrast. They needed to show gameplay.

- Minecraft is still a thing I don't get.

The actual conference format was good. Back-to-back games with no filler. Scorpio I feel was announced much too early. I also agree with the sentiment others have shared that it's Microsoft's attempt to wipe the slate clean and reset.

To the people that constantly say stuff like this, I have a question, are you just being trolls and using it as an excuse to attack Xbox and try to justify your fanboyism against it or are you really so cut off from reality in your bubble that you can't understand the simple fact that plenty of people don't want to play games on PC and all of the people that prefer the console gaming experience are not going to suddenly switch to PC gaming just because it now has the same games as Xbox.

If one of the many people that prefer the console experience over PC gaming wants to play Scalebound, what are they going to do? They are not going to upgrade their PC to play it because they want the console experience. And they are not going to buy a PS4 to play it because...well, PS4 won't have the game. So, that leaves only one option, buy a Xbox to play it. Why is this so hard for some people to understand?

Microsoft is giving people options and that benefits everybody. Gamers win because they get a choice on which platform they want to play on and can switch between the platforms with ease, developers win because they get to sell to a larger pool of gamers, and Microsoft wins because they make money from both Xbox and Windows 10.

Uhm, Windows 10 app store has been getting a lot of flack from the PC community. I guess you don't wanna hear that.

I may forgo the Scorpio too for a gaming PC if the price is over $600.00.

First MS don't seem to be taking the Windows store seriously enough to fix it enough for developers to see it as viable. The Windows store has to 1. Become competent and 2. Become enough of a threat to steam that developers start to drop all their games etc on it.

You have a PC that can be used for everything and Xbox stuff and in general has access to a much wider range of games and control methods. No one's really going to give up PC gaming with its versatility and much wider choice and enough digital distrubution that they can get games at fairer prices for an Xbox with no exclusives.

You just have less options with Xbox, it's not even just about graphics. Take KI for example, you can either play it with an Xbox controller or an arcade stick on Xbox, nothing inbetween. On the PC you can use a SF4 controller too.

Xbox just isn't putting enough of an offer on the table.

It's not a new gen if there's no next gen games being made. The Scopio and the Neo are going to play gen 8 games in higher resolution. You won't see scorpio game cases in gamestop.
