It was their best E3 in years. Sucks about the "no exclusive" stuff, but all in all very decent conference

+Recore, Scalebound, State of Decay, Forza H3, Xbox Scorpio, that bioshock-y game. Fantastic Pacing(apart from the minecraft stuff, which dragged on and on)

+-Sea of Thieves(looked actually decent in a second showing, I'm more optimistic now, still has alot to prove), some nice looking indies.

--FFXV(either the player had no idea what he was doing, or the game is horribly frustrating combat-wise), Minecraft stuff, Battlefield 1 (serioiusly same trailer? wtf), nothing really *exclusive* anymore, Gears of War 4(hmmmm didnt look as groundbreaking as hoped, I actually felt bored during the demo, not sure why. Fatigue?......

I am not sure what combat you are talking about here, this guy just keeps running around and getting hit. I dont think that qualifies as "combat". That said though, the framerate does look terrible.

That would be an incredible waste of resources. If the Scorpio is as powerful as Microsoft claims it is, it will have exclusive games.

@aroxx_ab: Whatever works for you, sell it, throw it away, keep it....that's got nothing to do with me. You've got more options now so hopefully you can still enjoy great games like Forza despite not having the console. Have a good one

Yup. And you're going to have to go through the W10 store. Either way you're supporting MS. This isn't like last gen where buying L4D on steam. That's why they say W10/Xbox exclusive.

It's an elite edition console. Instead of having a bigger HDD, it's hardware has upgraded. It is possible that exclusives could happen, ones that the Xbox One couldn't possibly run, but they specifically said ''no one will be left behind''. There's no exclusive content planned for the Scorpio or Neo. It's made to properly support VR too.

Kinda want Horizon 3 for the Buggy racing. I really miss Motorstorm.

Easily MS's best show in years. Glad of the Xbox/PC focus and like what im seeing of Scorpio so far. And we have actual release dates!

true, but PS4 will always be in my mind for driving the gen, making MS drop Kinect, retooling their vision of X1 and making Scorpion.

It's amazing but not surprising that some people mostly cows are stuck with the old ways of game content distribution. I mean both Sony and Nintendo already tried offering their content beyond their platforms and have content on iOs devices available already. But that's about how far they could go. The beauty with Microsoft, is they already have markets ready and available for Xbox content. Whether it's console, PC or mobile, with Xbox Anywhere, the ecosystem is more unified than anything Sony and Nintendo wants to or could ever accomplish. Console gamers wanted a more powerful console, MS listened and took action. PC gamers wanted Xbox content, MS listened and took action. MS offer content to more than one market so it would not make a single sense if they only supported one. Once again to make this clear, Microsoft offers content to more than one market so it would not make sense to only offer and support just one. Great conference MS, right to the point.

im not a fan of the scorpion though..its too soon. i have the same criticisms as i do for the Neo.

Driving the gen? They released a standard console and nothing beyond that. Not saying its bad thing but to say they are driving the gen is a bit skewed. The Scropion existence is mainly due to the gamers reaction and less to Sony's influence. MS wanted to focus on TV and heavy handed DRM and gamers told them to go **** themselves. Because they are not in the market of ****ing themselves they concede to the demands.

The press conference was good for PC fans, for Xbox fans are you absolutely stupid at this point ?

Okay, I'm pretty underwhelmed so far with the Gears of 4 showing, I feel they showed that first as the Band-Aid that needed to be pulled off real quick. Not sure if the stream quality or the game was really struggling to maintain stability but if it were the ladder then the game is hopeless if they're showing it at E3 in that state. Even if it were pulling off 1080p/60fps and I wasn't able to tell, even just the gameplay design for their vertical slice was pretty underwhelming. This is supposed to be the part of the game that wows the audience and I think they really failed to do that for me.

I'm kind of upset now too about the PC cross-play, not because the XBO has another game they can't call an "exclusive" but because I'm beginning to think the new Xbox-Windows ecosystem is really hurting developers and maybe bogging down development when they should 100% just be focused on making a game first and foremost. For instance, that was what was rumored to be a big issue with regard to what killed Fable Legends, that MS forced them to work on a PC port with cross system functionality and such when that wasn't part of the original plan and it bogged down development too long and they couldn't meet their milestones.

What's the point of having cross-platform functionality if the game itself isn't worth playing. Make the game the issue first, then bring the PC port, then the cross platform play, and so on.

It was an meh conference, not bad, but not good for sure. I dont know what they are doing announcing a slim and Scorpio at the same conference... And they really didnt push for the xbone at all game wise when all the games are going to pc

The microsoft conference was damn boring for the most part. Scorpio, horizon 3, and A few happy looks cool. Everything else meh

I love my X1,but I thought the showing MS had was kind of sh*t.I found it was only a recap of what was said last year.Last year was cinematics,this year was gameplay.Not a great E3 for Microsoft in my opinion.Happy to see the PS.Pleased to see the customized controllers and a new trailer for Battlefield 1.Other then the most of it: 6/10.Sorry MS.

I thought ReCore looked even more interesting than last time I saw it. But Sea of Thieves? Didn't look great to me at all... but I do think the team play naval combat will be fun. Still, I was kind of turned off - might have been partly the hokey actors playing off the hokey animations
