I love my X1,but I thought the showing MS had was kind of sh*t.I found it was only a recap of what was said last year.Last year was cinematics, this year was gameplay. Not a great E3 for Microsoft in my opinion.Happy to see the PS.Pleased to see the customized controllers and a new trailer for Battlefield 1.Other then the most of it: 6/10.Sorry MS.

Why all the games are coming out in 2016, early 2017 are you complaining about that. The reason MS conference was light on new games, the Scorpio is out Holiday 2017. They will have to market the crap out of that next year with new titles. Some of them will be launch titles.

Yeah I'm not a lover of "look what is coming to console someday in the future" shat. I know what's coming, when it's coming. No put your hands together and kickstart a game for release...........nobody feckin knows when YAAAAY!!!! Screw that noise. Show me games due by next E3. I know I want Horizon but that's next year now. Hope Sony has some stuff that I'll want this year. But the LOL of E3 now is Andrew House announcing Neo wont be shown and we all know why now. Get that Nippon weaksauce back to the engineering table bitches

You HAD to be racist ?

How is that racist? I used the name of their country and pointed to the rumored specs being weaker than what we are seeing from one of their direct competitors. Now if I had said those Nips, Japs, or something to that nature it could be seen as offensive. You're just in less than happy mood is my bet.

No, because I have a console that works right now and has exclusives and much more coming out that will never be on PC or Xbox. Whereas, I have a chance to actually play ALL your exclusives :)

I'd be pissed if I was you.

Why would I be pissed? I can game on any system that I want. Only fools are caught up in the nonsense of exclusivity and what not. I am glad that I only need to buy one game and be able to play it on the Xbox or PC. I will love if Sony follows in the same path. BTW I don't own exclusives so you can't play all "my" exclusives. What kind of stupidity are you indulging in?

Seriously. He cant play any of my games unless I let him in my effing apartment. Talk about taking this stuff a bit to seriously. He keeps suggesting we should be mad. It doesn't take a Phd in psychology to figure out someone is projecting

Yup, those fools made PS1, PS2, Wii and now PS4 winners. Only fools care to win

You own multiplats and play them on Xbox ? lol You must have a passion for getting shafted LOL. Good day sir.

And you're invested in a console selling the most why exactly? I own stock in all 3 manufacturers so I actually am invested, but you? Are you? Or is it like a pee pee thing for you to feel like a winner?

It's amazing but not surprising that some people mostly cows are stuck with the old ways of game content distribution. I mean both Sony and Nintendo already tried offering their content beyond their platforms and have content on iOs devices available already. But that's about how far they could go. The beauty with Microsoft, is they already have markets ready and available for Xbox content. Whether it's console, PC or mobile, with Xbox Anywhere, the ecosystem is more unified than anything Sony and Nintendo wants to or could ever accomplish. Console gamers wanted a more powerful console, MS listened and took action. PC gamers wanted Xbox content, MS listened and took action. MS offer content to more than one market so it would not make a single sense if they only supported one. Once again to make this clear, Microsoft offers content to more than one market so it would not make sense to only offer and support just one. Great conference MS, right to the point.

What is the need to buy the console then? When you can play the games on a PC with better specs?

This is literally the first time I see someone defending(and even bragging) about a console losing its exclusives. Say what you want, but exclusive IP makes certain consoles unique and different that the other

Again, many always fail to understand that that are many that are console only gamers and not PC gamers such as myself. It's neat that that PC games are coming to consoles thanks to MS. And it's neat that Microsoft content are coming to PC. These exclusives are still only available on one console and not on another console. Why should a non-PC gamer even attempt to try build a gaming PC and hope it's decent for awhile, when they could simply buy an Xbox One Slim starting with the price of $299 that could play these Xbox exclusives games. Again, Microsoft is not just a console supporter, they are also a PC supporter, uniting and supporting both makes them stronger than any console makers. They are truly for gamers period.

I'm glad the conference got better with time, the top highlights for me would be:

  • Dead Rising 4 - OMG, so glad to hear this is coming, been wanting to hear about this since finishing Dead Rising 3, which I loved. It's glad to know that despite Capcom's troubles that this can get it made. It'll be interesting to see what performance improvements can be made to the game now in contrast to DR3's debut as an XBO launch title.
  • State of Decay 2 - I'm probably just as excited about this as I am for Dead Rising 3. I finally got to play this for the first time on the Xbox One re-release and I loved it. And man, does this new sequel even look better so I'm definitely pumped.
  • Sea of Thieves - this actually looked really cool, I was kind of iffy about whether this would amount to anything good but this looks like the kind of game to let people know that Rare has a pulse still and can make their name resonate again.
  • Forza Horizon 3 - I think Australian is going to be a great setting, watching this game footage even makes me want to boot up Forza Horizon 2 in the first time in a while. I think the Play Anywhere and cross platform gameplay will be a good thing too. I think I could see myself buying this day one.
  • We Happy Few - pretty good looking for an ID@Xbox.com, and really trippy looking, can't wait, will definitely take advantage of early access.

Agreed. They are supporting their products: Xbox and Windows 10. People keep saying "also on PC" but you cant play the games running Windows 8, 8.1, 7, Vista, Linux. And why do people ask "What is the need to buy the console then?" None of this is a necessity. Its a past time, hobby, something fun to do. Some people here speak about the consoles and games all philosophical like they must be justified, "Oh what is the meaning to it?" Its feckin video games!! Lighten up and stop looking for meaning in it. You don't like the Xbox? Don't buy it, we wont miss ya.

@gago-gago: yeah in the Scorpio reveal clip, I remember one person saying how the console was the "we hear you console" or something along those lines. They basically flat out stated they did it based on customer feedback, so whether or not people believe them, I can understand that....but at least in my view they are trying. They showed a lot of games too, so I was happy on both fronts. Very happy with their show, and on that note I wish Sony good luck with theirs...going to listen in in a few min.

Welcome to 2016 where the vast majority of games are multi platform. Your point about Xbox not having exclusive is mute because you cannot play it on any other console. You have to play it on Xbox if you are a console gamer. I know you can't handle this fact but its the reality. If you are a PC gamer on Windows 10 you can equally jump in the fun. Win for everyone except loyalists.

Gotta say MS did really good here.

Forza Horizon 3 looks amaze balls, and Sea of Thieves look like it will be fun, I was looking for some Crackdown 3 footage but I didn't find any was it shown?

On the down side, the game I was most looking forward to seeing Scalebound really disappointed me from what I saw. Overall I think MS is on the right track.

I didn't watch the whole show, I caught the 7 minute round up but over all seems like a good B-.

What was wrong with Scalebound? Outside of his annoying personality.

I thought MS's press conference had more energy than Sony's. Plus the Scorpio announcement was pretty big. I don't have a gaming PC so it doesn't bother me that Xbox exclusives are also coming to PC.

Yes. I agree. I was more engaged with the MS conference. It had more tangible things I can benefit and relate to. At the end of Sony's I was left the same way I started.

Man, it's like they are trying to cater to a bunch of mentaly challenged teens here. I mean, I'm all for toung in cheek humor an witty personalities but it seems too forced here and treats you like you're a moron, but the biggest turn off is the even while being told everything you have to do, the gameplay looks really stale, (graphically looks great) but It's not what I was expecting.

More on the commentary.

When he says "Hardly seems like a fair fight, just one of you against all of us" I just cringed. Then it goes on to try to tell you everything you need to do like the player is some kind of tard, "He's to far for my bow go get close" then goes on to tell you what to do step by step...man that shit urks me to no end.

To give you a little reference tho, the commentary and gameplay of Horizon Zero Dawn kinda turned me off as well...especially the voice acting.

Understood. I was going to call you out on the the commentary stuff in some of the PS games but you addressed that. I am not entirely sold on the game myself. We shall see next year.

Really disappointed that Crackdown wasn't shown. Really really disappointed. Gears of War 4 looks just ok so far so not sure if that's a buy for me.

Scalebound and Dead Rising 4 were probably my top picks of their conference.

I like where they are going with the integration of communities and being able to get both the Xbox and W10 version at one price. Also the tournament bracket stuff has potential.

Did you get the feeling of some Uncharted/Last of Us mechanics in Gear of War 4?

Yeah I wanted to see Crackdown as well.

That was Scalebound MP. I'll try it but I was buying it for SP anyway. DR is always welcome and I am very interested to see more of State of Decay 2.

I have decided to get Gears 4. But it was Horde and the beta that sold me the SP looks meh. And I am a big fan of the supporting their products. I only have to buy a game once and access it on my X1 or PC or tablet? Hell yeah!!

Sea of Thieves looks like some LOL fun with my crazy friends

Xbox Scorpio isn't being revealed till next year, judging by most accounts, and neither is XboxVR- so that's one good thing for you and one bad, lol

Seems it was a win/win. Scorpio reveal and no time wasted on VR. If I didn't know better I'd say Phil is watching my posts and acting accordingly ;)

Actually going back and watching again Recore and Sea of Thieves are both looking really fun too.

Biggest seller for me though is that PC integration. If cross play is utilized for something like Sea of Theives or other non competitive multiplayer games that's huge. Broaden that player count and have a bigger user base. Now MS needs to get with it and release their games on steam.

Can't wait for the play anywhere or whatever they call it. As soon as a damn gtx 1080 is in stock my PC will finally be ready and match my 1440p Predator monitor. Going to be awesome I can play a game in my game room on the PC, on the couch in the living room on the Xbox or in my room from bed on an Xbox.

Good times ahead.

From a business standpoint releasing their games on Steam and having their proprietary store and expecting it earn revenue is stupid. Games like DR4 will go to steam I'm sure. But MS published and owned like Recore, SoT, FH3 and the like no. They may surprise me but there is no point to a W10 games store then. I have 140 games on my Steam profile. Why would I buy anywhere else unless I have no choice for PC? That's what you do in business.

I think they should ditch the windows store and sell on steam. Either that or they get their shit together and make the store something good. I haven't used it since early on but it wasn't so great.

But selling on Steam makes them have to pay a royalty. Selling through their own store means no money shared and they can always call the games exclusive to their ecosystem. People here pull that multiplat BS but doing it this way you will have to give MS your money one way or the other and that's all this ever was about. Sega/Atari/Nintendo didn't make exclusives so people could NOT buy them but at least praise them for doing so. As I said some games will go steam but not the ones MS has ownership of. But they could surprise us and that's cool too.

While I think Sony had the better game showing (that Spider-Man looks awesome), Microsofts had a more meaningful conference. They offered big things, such as consoles for those that want power and those that want cheaper, slimmer options. I personally liked their new Xbox Live features that are coming. Being able to look for a group is amazing and takes pressure off of developers to have it (looking at Destiny and its raids.) They made it easier than ever for someone like me ( a lone wolf team player) to actually find people to play with.
