You pick sides according to the one that has the most sales/review points and just so you can come on here and argue. Not because you play the games on that platform. In fact I suspect if you supported the platform you spent the most time on it would be PC. But you wont admit that.

Xbox One isn't my type of system since the games in it aren't good so far, but the problem is their upcoming exclusives, they are all coming to pc and only a few stand out anyway. Gears is a completely noob dev as well.

Scalebound is literally all they have.

PS4 has nier automata, horizon zero dawn, nioh, persona 5, ratchet and clank, yakuza 6, Gran Turismo Sport, Ace Combat 7, Alienation, Matterfall, Shadow of the Beast (looks better with recent showings), The Tomorrow Children, What Remains of Edith Finch, Hunger, Let It Die, Kill Strain, The Last Guardian, Gravity Rush 2, etc etc

Current games that are great? Yakuza Ishin, Yakuza 0, Yakuza Ishin, Disgaea 5, Gundum Breaker 3, Until Dawn, etc etc

Hopefully NX does well so I can buy one, ps4 needs a quality rival.

My hope is for a solid 10 for Uncharted 4. I will pre-download that bad boy DAY ONE, just like I did with the Nathan Drake Collection. It's gonna be awesome baby!

Meh. I don't think it has a problem. Other than the fact that its sales aren't PS4 levels. I've probably played and enjoyed more games on my bone than PS4. Regardless of that this gen outside of multiplats hasn't really been too exciting. Exclusives on both sides have been pretty much just ok. Bloodbourne and Sunset Overdrive were pretty awesome. Quantum Break so far is pretty good.

Said it before but after U4 and Crackdown 3 both systems could die off and it wouldn't bother me much.

I'm in the minority but I've enjoyed the Wii U much more than the other systems. Give me the NX and my PC and I'm covered.

That the game it self with close to 80 reviews has just that 60,funny isn't? In fact the forms of review of meta is much better than a single site,because if your game get a high or low score based on a bias reviewers you have other 75 or more to see if the game is really that bad or good.

For example you have a game and that game here get a 9 score,you may think wow this game most be great,but then you check meta and you see the game has 73 how can it be and when you see the others reviews you see that gamespot score wasn't spot on,it also apply to down site games with good scores and see gamespot or other reviewers scoring it low,then you know that the majority of scores are on the great side,in fact The last of US has a 60 score,how you explain that the game has 95% Polygon rated it freaking 75 and this site 80,The Last of US has 10 scores under 90,1 is a 78 a 75 and a 60,so you see this and is obvious what happen.

what AAA game did gamespot overrate? I would like to know this....if anything gamespot has always been in a consistantly stuck close to average review scores for the specefic game...and still do. PC reviews are still stingy The 360 reviews were as tough as ever last year The Wii reviews were harsh for specific games...the only far fetched 9.0 was No More Heroes only because its average score was no where near 9.0 The PS3s 9.0s last year(R2, MGS 4, and LBP) were all AAA on metacritic. and the multiplats were about right as well. I can't think of a game since PDZ that got a 9.0 here, and was pretty much average or decent everywhere else.

I have been a fierce critic of reviewers because some lack objectivity,and i don't see scores when i want to buy a game but if you are going to discuss facts use scores your opinion is worthless,and you know how this site works for years.

This is an 'opinion' that I will contest. If you ignore how gameplay mechanics have developed as the entire field has developed, you are condemned to make these sorts of undialectical analyses. Drakes Fortune was an alright game in its time because a lot of the features implemented in it were just being explored at the time. Of course they would seem unpolished when you compare it to UC2. The point you must answer for if you want to defend your opinion is this: why would you willfully ignore its place relative to what came before and after it?

In a sense, Tormentos got you with that post. "Its time" and "9 years later" have a particular resonance here...

It's just like the people who "look back" on games that they once enjoyed with a completely different analysis of how they are suddenly bad games. The easiest way to avoid this is to do the correct thing, and put things in the context of their course of development.

Oddly enough, I have already seen 3 cows get banned in the QB thread at Sonygaf, which I never thought would happen in all my years there. I never saw that many bans in a thread since back in the hey day when it was GamingAge forums. Yikes.

The Uncharted 4 review threat is going to be a mass grave. Mass banning on lems and cows. Cows will meltdown even if the game scores 90+ on Metacritic because one or two sites(Polygon) give the game an 8. Lems will meltdown if it scores above 90 because that will give it two masterpiece exclusives compare to none on Xbox One. I expect lots of cries of media bias as the reason why Uncharted 4 outscored Quantum Break so badly.

Here is the thing, even in the context of its own era, the shooting in Uncharted 1 isn't worthy of defense. Those mechanics and that level design were sloppy then, it's not like RE4, Max Payne, and Gears of War weren't a thing by then. Likewise there is a point I can accept that this was impressive on a technical level, I can even understand how the finnicky nature of the first person stuff in Ocarina bothers no one. Other short comings of video games? No, if something central to the core is questionable, or some of the level design isn't there, chances are it really should have been noticed then too.

There are plenty of great games that simply stand up, that are still great. Ocarina being one for many, Mario 64, Super Metroid for me, the likes of Street Fighter 2 or even something with the appalling walking speed of Parasite Eve.

Seems like opinions change sport, what a concept. Metagame threads vs opinion threads, and given that PGR4 got a 8.5, seems like I didn't give that much of a shit about Forza 3's 9.5. Here is the thing back then few shooter have great mechanics in fact one of the few to get it right was RE4,most 3rd person shooter had crappy mechanic including Killswitch which is were Gears and Uncharted got most of its stuff,back then even FPS were not as tied control wise as they are now.
