[QUOTE="vashkey"]Cahnge the title to YOUR top favorite games of the gen and then your post wont be so utterly wrong.Master_ShakeXXX
Most gamers have been brainwashed by the media into thinking certain franchises are more substantial than others. Advertisements, terms like "AAA franchise", numerical scores, etc are basically subliminal messages designed to trick people into worshipping subpar games like Uncharted and Mass Effect. I myself have developed an immunity to these brainwashing tactics used by publishers and critics, and with clear eyes and a full heart, am able to provide an entirely unbiased and objective view of video games.
You're human, you're biased. Regardless of if you can recognize it or not.I LIKE LISTS!
10. Halo: Reach
9. Dead Space
8. Assassin's Creed II
7. Super Mario Galaxy 2
6. Mass Effect 3
5. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
4. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
3. Pokemon: HeartGold/SoulSilver
2. Red Dead Redemption
1. Batman: Arkham City
Runners Up include: NIER, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, Prince of Persia, Pokemon Black/White, Bioshock
This list is prone to change often to however I'm feeling when this question is posed. Also, Skyrim could be higher when I finally beat it.

Could you be being brainwashed by the smaller companies to think you have a clear mind so that you favor lesser known titles over other titles with big budgets?!?! :o

How can you have Condemned 2 and not Condemned (the original)? senses_fail_06
Better gameplay, better CSI, better pacing, and a f*cking rabid Grizzly Bear.

Better gameplay? Nah, not when the end turns into the worst FPS ever. The first had better locations, more tension, and better story. Both good games, hope we see another one.[QUOTE="Master_ShakeXXX"][QUOTE="senses_fail_06"]How can you have Condemned 2 and not Condemned (the original)? senses_fail_06

[QUOTE="GamingVengeance"]i just realized bioshock isnt on that list **shakes head**joarX
Being a first person shooter with piss poor shooting will do that to you.
maybe you just suck? it played great and still has the best story twist this gen[QUOTE="Master_ShakeXXX"][QUOTE="senses_fail_06"]How can you have Condemned 2 and not Condemned (the original)? senses_fail_06

I'll take the school and farm. Way more memorable.maybe you just suck? it played great and still has the best story twist this genGamingVengeance
You're supposed to press the trigger, right? Because that's what I do and the shooting in BioShock is still poor.
It has great atmosphere, a wonderful story, characters, etc, but the gameplay is kinda weak because of the above fact.
Enemies are bullet sponges, and the weapons aren't exactly fun to use either.

na i clicked the mouse lol but no i have beaten both the 360 and ps3 version( its the only game this gen iv beat on every system) and it played fantastic on the consoles. you just sucked at itI understand that no two people could agree on what the top 10 games of the gen are, but even so your list blows balls. At least you have a couple of worthy games on there so its not a total loss lol.

Nah the gunplay is just bad.
The plasmids were kind of fun to use, but got boring fast.
No matter how good your story is it will never make up for your gameplay not being up to snuff.
I haven't played BioShock 2 though and don't know if it's any better.

Yeah I agree with that. The gameplay feels severely outdated. But to me Bioshock wasn't primarily a shooting game, but an excellent exploration game. Discovering Rapture while uncovering what had happened there was pretty sweet.[QUOTE="GamingVengeance"]na i clicked the mouse lol but no i have beaten both the 360 and ps3 version( its the only game this gen iv beat on every system) and it played fantastic on the consoles. you just sucked at itjoarX

Definitely the story and the world is amazing.
But there's combat basically every two seconds. And when I'm walking around enjoying the world, a splicer comes up to my face, I hit it with a shotgun right in the head and it feels like I'm shooting a brick wall it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Can't argue with that really. I kind of wish Levine went for more of an adventure game with puzzle/horror elements rather than an action game, because the former is easier from a gameplay standpoint and would emphasize the world rather than distract from it.I felt the same way, except it bothers me how fast you die. Maybe I just suck. lol[QUOTE="chilly-chill"][QUOTE="joarX"]

lol that was easily the biggest flaw bioshock had, taking down big daddys was far too easy because of thatPlease Log In to post.
