They are the same, its just Sony has its first party put much more effort into graphics

They're equal. I think PS3 exclusive devs have just put more emphasis on graphics than 360 exclusive devs did. Until recently anyways, I do recall Cliffy B saying that Gears 3 would take the console graphics crown and Turn 10 said that Forza 4 would be the best looking game made this year.

For me the best looking game I've played on 360 was Mass Effect 2.

I think they are both capable of about equal, but the PS3 was clearly the winner for a long time. That said, it think Gears of War III is proving the 360 can pump out some nice visuals. I can't say they will be the king, but they seem to be among the best on consoles. Most of the past 360 exclusives felt weak, like the dev was not trying very hard.

I'm not that impressed with 1280x720 these days.

They are fairly similar, although Sony's 1st Party games in particular God of War III, Killzone 2, Killzone 3, and Uncharted 2 stand out as being the best looking console games to date from a variety of gaming critics worldwide.

Considering how much time I've played on both consoles, and my beautiful gaming setups, I would agree 360 has yet to top those four games...but GeoW3 is coming! :P Then again, so is Uncharted 3, lol.

Halo Reach is like a damn slideshow half the time.

My cousin has a PS3 and a 360 so the best way for me to see games in action for graphics is when I visit him and truthfully there's no real difference. I'm sure if you put games under lenses then you'd probably spot differences, but these systems are so close that it's not worth even debating which one has better graphics.

They're obviously equally capable when it comes to hardware. The creator of the Cell CPU and the Xenon CPU said as much.

Sony devs have been the difference until now. C2, Rage, Gears 3, and FM4 are showing what the 360 is really capable of. DICE claims BF3 will probably be the best looking console game out, too. IMO Uc3 will be the one to beat. Gotta give ND the benefit of the doubt given the quality of Uc2's visuals. It's gonna be close either way. Exciting times, indeed.

Coming from an unbiased person, I'd say equal. There's nothing on the PS3 that doesn't impress me more than what's on the 360.
