[QUOTE="Malta_1980"][QUOTE="NinjaMunkey01"][QUOTE="VoodooGamer"] 3) 33% is less than 50%. In other words, there is a better chance that it WONT break down than there is that it WILL break down.NinjaMunkey01
1/3 Xbox 360s will break down. That's a huge amount of 360s and I can see why Microsoft created the three-year warranty, they ddin't want to lose huge amounts of customers or scare off potential customers. That should put it in perspective nicely. ;)
4) That number was reduced with Falcon chip and will be eliminated with Jasper chip.Death
That really doesn't help those that already have a ticking-time bomb. ;)
~just to clarify. I like the 360 but to pretend there is no problem or the problem is "small" is just plain ignorant. The only people who do that are the ones that want to feel like they made a good choice with their investment. ;)
Its all good and well saying only 33% will go as if 66% are magically protected. But if used enough they can all go.
So mostly its bad for those of us who play games more often. I had my 360 with lots of space to ventilate, never had a problem till I got RROD.
You cant protect against it, it will happen to all of them given enough time.
i can imagine how pissed i'd be if my 360 got RROD the same day i get Geow2 aaarrrgggghhh
I was having fun playing GTA4 when it went.
It was a mixture of annoyonce at the start, then red lines went donw the screen and then i was intrigued, then I turned it on again to have more lines then it froze, then I am thinking "this better not be what i think it is" then I turned it on again to have RROD. a mixute of disbelief and annoyance.
:D, :?, :|, :o, :(,
That's because you didnt clean out the dust collected on the inside and it exceeded maximum stable temps and f'ed-up
