I loved the last tomb raider but I'm not buying a xbox just for the game. I actually enjoyed tomb raider more then uncharted. If it comes to PS4 great I'll buy it if not I'll just have to play something else. I could go buy an xbox right now if I wanted but I refuse after the shit they tried to pull with DRM.
As long as it takes. People forget that for a lot of people, especially with xbone, it's: the price of the console + the game itself.
Why shell out all of that when you know it's coming to other platforms?
One year? Three? You guys have high hopes. It's a Holiday season deal. That sounds like 90 days, 6 months max, but I doubt it. SE knows every day now that the sales data comes in they tied themselves to a rock. Getting it out to the wider install bases will be their top priority while people still give a crap about it.
As for the question, I can wait as long as it takes to be offered ridiculously cheap or as PS+ throw in, just like the last game.
Indefinitely. I wouldn't compromise the experience with low resolutions and framerates. I will wait for the full quality PC version. I have an XB1 too, so I will have access to it right away.
thats a decent strategy get the best pc version that sounds nice actually
I could wait 3+ years easily. its the same as the 2013 tomb raider so i would be missing nothing, plus i have tons of games in backlog so there is no rush at all to anything new. There is almost no game i buy anymore right at release, i usually end up getting it a year or more after for a lot less money and when i have time.
Tomb Raider on PS4 nice game but nothing special really. How long can I wait? Forever, pretty much. Not bothered.
The 2013 Tomb Raider was great. Unfortunately, I only have an Xbox 360, and I don't think any downgraded port could be worth $60 in the year 2015. So I might as well just wait for the PS4/PC version.
I'll wait till it hits PSN+ monthly give aways.
Thats how I got the first Tomb Raider after a year it released.
Honestly, I don't really care about it.
But maybe I'll pick it up in a Humble Bundle in two years' time.
True Tomb Raider fans only play the old ones that stick to the classic formula, the recent so called Tomb Raider that was released in 2013 have nothing in common...
I waited the better part of 2 years for GTA V so as long as it shows up quicker than that.
Really wish it wasn't a XB1 exclusive though, enjoyed TR 2013 quite a bit
I will wait as long as needed for a PS4 version.
Eternity.....
The game will come to the dominant platform of this generation, as did many other xbox360 timed exclusives to Ps3 down the road, including Ninja Gaiden II, Mass Effect and Bioshock. Gamers have seen through Microsoft's bull*****, god, i love watching it lag behind pathetically where it belongs.
Mark my words, sooner than later Tomb Raider will come to the PS4, and our Uncharted is never crossing that fence. PS always wins in the end. Nice damage control bringing up street fighter.
Hmm... I'll get it on the Xbox One seeing as right now it's basically just a Halo/Rayman machine... and I got Rayman for free on Gold. Will probably grab the PC version when it comes out down the line in GOTY form.
I've never liked TR since the 90's when they started, so I wouldn't care if the series completely disappeared overnight.
I would prefer that actually and hope that Crystal Dynamics could get to work on an IP THEY CREATED instead of being used to whore out TR to keep their jobs. Poor bastards. They have become like Bungie and Treyarch, stuck making the same genre and games over and over and over. Bungie broke free and I hope one day Crystal does too.
Bring back Blood Legacy Single Player CD developed games.
I own an Xbone but I'm not buying this game at all. I wouldn't wait though if I cared since I own the machine, but I simply never liked TR. Timed exclusives are so very lame though.
CD/Eidos were smart to hire a prominent Sony developer/director to help with the 2013 reboot TR, but he's back at Sony now presumably directing a new Sony IP.
@AgentA-Mi6: Mass Effect wasn't a timed exclusive, you populist, Bioware used to be 2nd party for Microsoft

Did you play the last TR? Do you like Uncharted? I think both series are amazing. I am very much looking forward to the new TR. Just not on consoles, as they can't run the game properly. I basically avoid playing any game on console if I can. This generation of consoles is an absolute joke when it comes to performance. I hate how exclusives never get to reach their full potential because of the shit hardware.

Something tells me if Sony had made it an Exclusive you would have cared about TR. lol

I guess you can't read. I covered that exact point in my first sentence.
TR was console exclusive once upon a time to PS (after TR1, TR2 and TR3 were PS1/PC and TR: Angel of Darkness was only for PS2) and I didn't like TR then either...you know back in the days when most of SW was in diapers. As I said, I never liked TR when it was exclusive, when it was multiplat, and now that it's a timed exclusive. It doesn't change my feelings on the series.
Do you like every game you ever played? Of course you don't. Well, I don't like quite a few games which include racing and Tomb Raider is rather bland to me. The revamp I got for free and I didn't care for it.
If this TR game was a PS4 exclusive or Wii U exclusive, I still wouldn't care. I wouldn't buy it. I don't like it. Just like I don't care now. I'd rather play 343s new Halo 5 on my Xbone than play this TR trash.
You must not know who CORE or Crystal Dynamics is, but I was there playing games before Tomb Raider existed. To me, TR is a new IP still because I remember gaming without it. I feel bad for poor Crystal Dynamics, having to put their own creations and IPs away and pick up the slack for defunct CORE's IP.
Something tells me that you only care about TR now because M$ paid for a timed exclusive for your Xbawks, Xhawk.
Something also tells me you aren't all there, lol.
