You'll have to pick one of the FF titles, or get rid of some other games so you can use them. 10 games only. Thanks for spotting this Nintendofreak, and he's right taplok. You can't name 2 or more games in one slot. There's a 10 game limit. You have to pick just ONE FF game, God of War game, and Mario Bros games. If you want more than one, then some of those other games will need to be bumped off to make their slots available.

I'd like to say that i liked your scoring method. It should take a lot of votes here to make an AA game surpass the points of an AAA game, because if you think about it, we have to build our own consensus to counter the media consensus. You can't make an AA game be better than an AAA unless you have plenty of votes (a clear majority), and to achieve the score the game got at GR the game received various "votes" which should have a lot more wheight than ours in SW, since we're not professional reviewers. Just my 2 cents.

I have been going over Anshul's argument, and here are my thoughts. First, the math as you (anshul) applied it isn't really applicable. Is a AAA game 1.5 or 1.24 times better than a AA game? There is no way to quantify that one way or another. Generally in most cases AAA games are better than AA, (and that doesn't detract the enjoyment I get from AA games by any means) but there is no universal measure by which gamers regard how much better. The degree of that quality difference will depend on each individuals perspective, so no math can create an equation for this.
My second thought again goes to your earlier sample Anshul, where a AA game could outscore a AAA by a mere 2 votes. If the margin is so small, it defeats the purpose of a point scoring system altogether. The games may as well have been tallied by votes alone.This poll looks to see how community opinion correlates to industry opinion. And SambaLele reflects why I was coming up with this format in the first place. That AAA games have more stature in the industry, and it should be more of a challenge for the lower ranked games to overcome that.
So with all that in mind, the contest scoring system will remain as is.
And some other reminders people;
* Games from the pre-crash era are ineligible
* As stated above, ONLY 10 games, and you can't list two in the same slot, not even sequels
* Please be kind and spell out the titles of the games. Using acronym's can lead to miscounting game votes. If you say ME, do I know if you nominated Mass Effect ort Mirror's Edge? Plus as knowledgable as I like to consider myself, I can't always recognize every single acronym, especially if I didn't play a particular game.
