Which is where the GR Top 20 listing (adjusted for repeated titles by different platforms) comes in. It's reflective of game that got 10's on numerous sites and just as many 9's. This being the elite score value of 4 points.

TC, you should multiply AAA, AA and A games by 9, 8 and 7anshul89

Mathematically it would work out the same either going by 3,2,1 points or 9,8,7 points. Much simpler to go with the 1-3 scale :)

The AA does have more of a challenge, but isn't soooo disadvantaged from the AAA game that it would be comepletely impossible, it just needs a more reasonable amount of votes (than just 2) to take on a heavyweight of a contender. The balance settings seem right as they are, and the setup for the contest is more simplified and streamlined this way.

I'll have to go with anshul89's side here. Under your system, AA games have to achieve double the votes of GameRanking's Top 20 just to break even. That's a hefty handicap if you ask me.

Sorry, but your nominations have to be from the post crash era. Even though I'm calling this the greatest game of all time, I did specify this rule, mainly because there's no source for ranking games this old, especially with the vast difference of standards to consider. It's just those two Intellivision games that need to be changed to something from the NES era and onwards.

@ Anshul - I'm still thinking over the scoring issue. I have given concessions to other factors (like the Top 20 having repeated titles from different platforms) but this deals with the very heart of the contest structure. And while I'm less inclined to radically alter that, I am still considering your points.
