Lol....Revan is still trolling this game?
Now thats dedication.
This topic is locked from further discussion.
I bought the game because it was one of the highest reviewed games ever and i wanted something close to perfection. Oh, boy was i wrong...But still i tried to like it, like when i bought a 360 and convinced myself that the graphics didn't suck and that holding a controller in my hands didn't feel like holding a dried turd in my hands. But then it broke down and i got a gaming PC.
Revan_911
Lol, you've gone beypond annoying, and I find you rather amusing now.
Trolling really isn't your thing eh? You're too obvious.
All the reapers look the same because that is only the outside shell... You're stretching it. The reapers are hollow inside like a spaceship. Why would they build them like that anyway...? Another plot hole, i didn't consider that. Why is are the reapers build like spaceships? Yet the human reaper looked nothing like a space ship, and was quite smaller than any other reaper.
1. How stupid is the Concil?
Ok, in the first game the Concil was pretty stupid, but in the second they were complete morons. So they tell me that they don't beilve that the Reapers are a threat when a Reaper destroyed their fleet and killed everyone on the cidatel. And they tell me " Meh, nothing to worry about, nothing but an isolated incident". Yeah, ok Bioware try harder next time! These were supposed to be the wisest of the species, to make decisions affecting the entire galaxy and they can't admit the reapers exist WHEN A REAPER ALMOST KILLED THEM. Remember that WEAK WRITTING I WAS TALKING ABOUT? Don't even tell me "They were afraid to admit the truth" that was the excuse in the first game and it barely worked then, but now...
2. Nobody cares about human colonies?
So humans are a member of the concil now, they have enourmous galactic power, but when entire colonies dissapear no one is willing to do anything about it? Ok, at first they didn't know what was causing it , but you have proof that the collectors are behind it, and no one wants to do anything about it? Except Sheppard ofcourse, but what happened to the Alliance ? Do they have their heads inside their asses the entire game? They ignore it like nothing's happened and its thousands of lives we're talking about. No human in the entire game i met cared about that.3. How many reapers are there?
I seem to remember that i boarded a reaper that was 25 million years old. So if the reapers returned every 50 000 years, that would mean that they assimilated 500 races. So there are 500 types of reapers out there at least correct? If every reaper is moddeled after a certain race, then WHY DO ALL THE REAPERS LOOK THE SAME? There should be 500 different reapers out there (And according that almost all the advanced races are humanoids, then most of them should look like humanoids). If anyone remembers the cutscene at the end all the reapers were coming and they all looked the same, they all looked like the Sovereign, like a giant bug. This is a plot hole, you can't convince me otherwise. Even the ancient reaper looked the same as the rest.

The human reaper wasn't really explained in the 2nd, because it will no doubt become part of the plot for the 3rd. Why would they show all their cards early, lol.

It seems to me that you took the things that you either didn't understand, or didn't put in the effort to understand and created absurd ways to bash on these three points.
deep down the council obviously knows that reapers exist, but what would happen if this was let out to th public? a **** storm"again just minor observation on the player's part
just because humans have a spot on the council mean absolutely nothing, the other species still view them with antagonism and superiority. And these colonies were mostly in the most farthest and randomest of systems.
the reapers according to lore, were 'always' there. you are just stretching what harbinger was trying to do with a human reaper and twisting into more absurd plot ideas.
try harder next time.

Again, you avoided my other point, about the possibility that it isn't ALL of the reapers, because, unfortunately, it pokes a hole in your criticism.
I already said it ! Pay attention please i repeat myself a hundred times. I saw at least 100 reapers in the end cutscene. And they all looked the same, like the sovereign like the derelict reaper. According to the logic at the end every reaper should look different depending upon which race it was created on.I always wondered how this Alliance made their capitol this alien base that used technology that they didn't understand and also were okay with the keepers that they didn't understand and seems like they didn't want to learn anything about. I know that if it were us our scientists would be all over that alien tech. and i'd hope that our governments wouldn't be stupid enough to make it their home base before we knew what it was and how it worked.OntainThe Alliance's main base isn't in the citadel...its some space station ( http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Arcturus_Station ). Humans don't really have much stake in the citadel because they are a new race in the universe as far as ME's lore is concerned.

Get a decent pair of glasses they all look the same. And there were at least a 1000. I didn't see one that doesn't look identical to all the other reapers. I have to go with him at this one,I guess that they were spposed to look like a big army.
Does someone remember the whole argument, where i said that they didnt explain the motivation of the reapers in the first game? Well they explained it here. It was Asimilation. Hunting down the advanced race and making a new reaper out of it. Even in the end they explained that they are making a reaper out of each race. So why is there only one reaper (reaper that looks like a bug. Like the sovereign and every other reaper in the end cutscene). So if they dont come up with an explanation in the third game my points still stands WEAK WRITING.I'm sorry. I can't take it anymore. Sheperd and his crew was the only one to confirm the reapers. So their was no real proof that confirmed that the reapers were real to the Counsel. After the reaper attack everyone was too busy cleaning up the Citadel to notice the many secret organizations picking out Sovereigns tech for themselves. Example, You need guns that Garus gives you are based off Sovereigns guns that the turians found and back word engineered, and EDI,after she is released from her locks, tells you that the ships core was sovereigns core. Most of the tech went to Cerberus do to human having the more stable network at that time.
Also in the first point WEAK WRITING. They used the "Reapers are not a threat in the first game" Well Sovereign sure proved them wrong right ? So why would Bioware use the same excuse in the second game. WEAK WRITING!!!

I know they look the same. He still hasn't proven why this couldn't be a first wave, as i've seen nothing explained in either game, and that in fact, there are different kinds of Reapers not shown yet.
Ehhh I double posted....
on topic/Indeed.
didn't you created a topic called "ME 2 is not an Rpg" just two days ago ? Man you hate this game alot. clone01he created another anti-me2 topic before that, too. perhaps he is an ex-bioware employee.
Ad Hominem arguments are perfectly logical.
Why can't you guys just own the subject like Dreman did and keep these flame wars to a minimum?
I'm sorry. I can't take it anymore. Sheperd and his crew was the only one toconfirm the reapers. So their was no real proof that confirmed that the reapers were real ti them. After the reaper attack everyone was too busy cleaning up the Citadel to notice the many secret organizations picking out Sovereigns tech for themselves. Example, You need guns that Garus gives you are based off Sovereigns guns that the turians found and back word engineered, and EDI after she is released for her locks tell you that the ships core was sovereigns core. Most of the tech went to Cerberus do to human having the more stable network at that time.
So if they dont come up with an explanation in the third game my points still stands WEAK WRITING.
Also in the first point WEAK WRITING. They used the "Reapers are not a threat in the first game" Well Sovereign sure proved them wrong right ? So why would Bioware use the same excuse in the second game. WEAK WRITING!!!
It would be ok, if everyone didnt claim that ME is the best told story this gen. Its unoriginal, bland and full of WEAK WRITING!dreman999
And the Reapers...spoiler
All look different.
Here's a better look at the faces.
And heres the bodies.
spoiler
So with that explained(again) What now?:|
Why do we alway have to explain to plot to you piece by piece?

Now hopefully future threads will be locked in regards to this individual and Mass Effect 2, at this point it feels like spam and he rarely has any supporters, this should be a clear sign of a troll.
Note in the Mass Effect wiki when it talks about Reapers, it states:
"Sovereign, the first Reaper encountered, bore a superficial resemblance to a cuttlefish, with a bulky semi-cylindrical body, a tapering plate over the rear and a mass of metallic 'tentacles' extending from its front end. When the Reaper fleet is revealed in dark space they are all shown with this basic design but with great diversity in tentacle number, shape and oriention, some with extended heads and others (particularly Harbinger) having multiple glowing eyes. This diversity is due to the Reapers reproduction method, vast numbers of a single species are harvested, melted down into a raw genetic paste then used to construct a 'larva', that takes on the charactertistics of the species it was created from."
Note that it states that when the captured species are melted down, the Reapers take on the "characteristics" of the species. Characteristics does not denote likeness, and that is why there is a slight diversity to their overiding form (long cylindrical bodies, with tentacles and the like). In other words, they generally look the same, but the different species give them slightly different characteristics from one another.
Characteristic:
1. A feature that helps to identify, tell apart, or describe recognizably; a distinguishing mark or trait.
So you can easily tell them apart due to their slightly different characteristics.
Regardless that the one on the left has brown lights, and the one on the right blue lights, they all look like giant bugs. So if you expect me to beilve that every dominant species in the galaxy for the last 25 million years were a bug, thats not a real proof.
