PS3's big exclusive for the year, Uncharted, only moved 117k total. Its doing WORSE than Ratchet if you can believe it. 3rd party PS3 exclusives are history, done, finished.

If MGS4, GT5 & Killzone 2have the same numbers, then I'll be worried...

Uncharted is a great game... It will sell at a steady rate for ages!

seriously this is actually huge. devs will see this and will go exclusive to 360 or more likly multiplat and they should because thats where the money is.white45e

That's all developers can count on to be able to sell to. If AAA titles like Uncharted, Ratchet and Sigma can't get solid sales, where's the hope?

But then again, all hope is not lost. Assassin's Creed and CoD4 have enjoyed strong sales on the platform.

it will probably seel about a quarter of a mill before it is actually over especially because PS3 sales havent picked up yet.

I disagree. It may be but who knows for cetain? I mean Gears did better than any GOW game and the PS2 had over 100 Million for GOW2. How manu Wii games are doing over 3 Million atleast at less than 1/10 or so the base of PS2.

I think Uncharted is new and not for everyone really but then again it seems not many PS3 games are selling amazing which I dont get why. I mean there's many multiplats and R&C etc... There should be quite a few Million or Mill+ sellers IMO

I feel bad for Square-Enix if they are contracted to only keep FF13 exclusive because they have a very good chance of loosing a lot of money. Also do not say tons will buy that because there is no proof. Uncharted was supposed to be a huge seller also and it is not. Ps3 users in general do not buy many games and the user base is not even close to what the PS2 was when the other FF games came out.Eltroz

Yeah these third party can't afford to lose money on these high budget exclusives. But I feel bad for the Sony first party because they can't recoup. At least the third party can go multiplat and make other games for the competition, but Sony first party can't.

Another wishful 360 fanboy thread...what a surprise. Uncharted was never supposed to be the PS3 "big hit" for the holidays. With the delay of games like Haze and Socom: Confrontation, Uncharted basically was left to fend for itself. UT3 so far seems like it will be the bigger draw for the holidays.

As for Ratchet comparisons: there is NO WAY Uncharted is going to sell more that Ratchet anyway. Ratchet and Clank is the first PS3 title with alegacy fan base.

Relax dude, Heavenly Sword had a worse opening and is arguably a game with less value (6 hours long), but it has sold around 600k now I believe? With an increasing install base I expect that Uncharted will sell fine. The thing about most PS3 games is that they seem to sell steady over a long period of time -- like Resistance and Motorstorm for example.

AS for the 360 sold nearlly a million by itself and it has no multiplayer to speak of.. ;)

So Ps3 Exclusive uncharted barely moves 100k units.....

Meanwhile Xbox360 Exclusive mass Effect (which cows repeatedly refer to as mass flop) already broke 1 million units.....
