Jaggies are definitely present so no bullshots, just MLAA in the works. No cutscenes were used

Maybe it should anyway, looks very dated, in the jungle i can barely make out anything, really old engine

I think it's up there with Crysis 2, BF3, Gears 3 and UC2. What it all comes down to is which presentation & artstyle you prefer.

Of all console games I think I'm actually in favour of GOW3 (as in God of war). It might not be up there technically but the presentation and artwork is nice.

I don't really like the graphics in either Killzone or Gears. The UC series is a little bit better though but it doesn't have anything that really defines it's artstyle, also a bit cartoonish for my taste.

Crysis 2 is technically very impressive but I don't like the look of it. BF3 has a very realistic approach and it's hard to go wrong with that, a bit tasteless yes but still strong about what it's trying to achieve.

I can't say if Gears 3 looks better or not, but after seeing Uncharted 3 in person, I can definitely say the screenshots don't do it justice. The aliasing isn't as prevelant in motion and it looks really good overall.

Well , for me in U3 there were some amzaing looking things and some boring looking thing. Geras 3 is indeed more consistant but the best looking parts of U3 outshine Gears 3 by A LOT.There aren't really any graphical "WOW" moments in Gears 3.There quite a few in Uncharted 3.

Honestley after playing BF3 maxed out on PC and the Witcher 2 on very high i'm not as neraly as impressed with consoles game as I used to be.They look good but are meh compered the graphics PC can do (as we all know :) ).

P.S. Now that I think about it,I'm pretty sure Killzone 3 is the best looking console game actually.It had some gorgeous environments. I enjoyed its graphics quite a bit wen I played it.The game overall was meh tho...

I only see Gears 3 looking 10x better than the TC pics, for one is not a mess on textures and jaggies like the confusing picture of U3, it looks clean and perfect

The lighting, textures, AA, motion blur, picture clairity, AA etc all look leaps better in Gears 3 pics imo

Its 2011 man. What game developers have achieve with 2005 era hardware is really astonishing. I doubt there will be undisputed graphics king on consoles. witcher 2,Rage,Crysis 2,BF3,Gears 3,UC3 looks amazingly beautiful. In the end its just a matter of your own choice.For me-

Lighting- Crysis 2

Texture-Witcer 2,BF3(pc), Metro 2033(a bit inconsistent)

Animation-Rage,Portal 2,UC3

Water-UC3(best even including pc), Crysis 2

Explosion,fire- BF3,Gears 3, MW3(yes it has some nice explosion effect)

Sky- I know its weird but Rage's sky looks BEAUTIFUL.

Art- Witcer 2

I see the exact same on Uncharted 3 pics, only in GEars 3 is barely noticable, while in U3 looks 10x worst, with jaggies and bad texture and no shaders everywhere

I still disagree with that arrogant claim, sorry. It´s clearly a matter of opinion. Both look so close that sometimes it seems they are running in the same engine. Uncharted 3 does have beautiful environments and amazing animations. Gears 3, on the other hand, wins in lightning, particle effects and stuff going on on screen.

I think both look equally impressive and MY OPINION cant be wrong ;)

Gears 3 has no AA, suffers from screen tearing and framerate drops, Crysis 2 console version suffers from some very bad framerate drops and screen tearing and Battlezone 3 is the absolute graphics king on PC, but the console ports look pretty bad.

No it doesn't and i have both i don't go by screens,i go by both looking running on my systmes,Gears 3 is a good looking game,Uncharted 3 is just to detailed for Gears,water and fire effects look better second to no game,but the animation,real physics like moving water,sand,and many other make the game look way over gears,in Gears of war 3 the fire is compose of spinning textures,which is basically a PS2 trick to simulate fire,that on Uncharted 3 look out fo this world just like the water effects.

The level of attention pay to Uncharted 3 surpass Gears 3 quite easy,any one who played both knwo this,and to think that Gears 3 broke the series cycle and actually took 3 years to make,Uncharted 3 had 2 years of development,if the game had 3 imagine how much better it would look.

This is stupid. They both have moments that look better than the other.

Anyone saying that either one looks "miles better" than the other should be insta-banned.
