Uncharted 3 is Definitely Console Graphics King (Extreme 56k)

It's up there with the best of what consoles have to offer.

Some will say Gears 3 and some will say UC3, it's that close. Same level of hardware should produce same level of visuals, nothing surprising here.

Do you know what motion blur is? Gears 3 has so much of it and makes up for the many faults and jaggies it has. Uncharted 3 does everything WITHOUT the motion blur, that itself is much more impressive. We shall once again make comparisons once the motion blur patch becomes available for Uncharted 3.

On a side note, the cruise level and the huge dynamic ocean is more technically impressive than anything Gears 3 has. That itself is astonishing.

Great, UC3 is getting a blur patch soon that should bring UC3's actual game-play visuals on even par with GeoW3 and you wanna compare again, So what!So again we'll get another thread comparing mostly cut-scenes with a little real-time game-play mixed in from UC3, to real-time game-play from GeoW3.. whoop-de-doo!

Because if it didn't have motion blur it would look very mediocre with jaggies everywhere and seeing how Uncharted 3 managed to improve upon Uncharted 2 WITHOUT motion blur is much more technically impressive. It just means U3 is that good.

To bring it up to par with GeOW 3? Really now? It exceeds it already.

Mostly cut-scenes with a little real-time game-play? What does that even mean? Now your just spewing out useless arguments.

Actually unlike some 360 fans here who are making things up about Uncharted 3,i actually have play both games,because i own both,Gears look great to the naked eye,but when you see the textures that are not that great,the colors everything looks faded,the animation,you begin to see both games are appart,then you start to see little details every where that Gears just doesn't have,by the time the physics kick in Uncharted 3 is really ahead on Geasr 3.

The fire effects,the water effects the physics involving the sand stage,such as sand simulation,the cruise where you see the water move acordingly to the ships movements,everyhing does the lights,Uncharted 3 is just a better looking game.

No it doesn't dude even from screens you can see how much better Uncharted 3 looks,but in motion is actually even better,because you get to see the real difference in details,the physics,fire effect water effects and so on.

In fact Gears 3 use spinning textures to simulate fire,the water has little to no reaction,on shooting or stepping,not that it look even close to Uncharted 3 water effects either.

You are actually talking about a game you haven't play i have play both.

I agree it looks great, but you're acting it's leaps and bounds ahead. Overall the differences between all the console heavy-hitters (Geow3, UC3, KZ3 etc) are minuscule at best, it's barely worth bragging or debating about.

I am primarily a PC gamer, but I can't deny that those cutscene graphics look very good. The water also is impressive. Especially since you can interact with it as opposed to the water in a game like Killzone 3.
However, the in-game graphics are not nearly as good. There's a lot of aliasing and the whole thing often looks low-res.
That being said it still is quite impressive, and I hope the next generation of consoles will have graphics that at least are as good looking as the cutscenes that have been shown.

Dosen't matter how close either UC3 or GeOW3 come to out edging each other in graphics when GOW3 clearly trumps them both and every other game out on the marketfor the absolute best graphics ever seen on consoles.

360/PS3 in parenthesis because they are very close, but 360 hardware edges out PS3 hardware in capability.

That being said, games like UC are so artistically well-done that you can almost throw technicals out the window and just declare it is the prettiest game you've ever played.

I am primarily a PC gamer, but I can't deny that those cutscene graphics look very good. The water also is impressive. Especially since you can interact with it as opposed to the water in a game like Killzone 3.

360 has a fer better design and GPU actually, PS3 has better CPU, like it matters at all in graphics

Sony promoted their stuff through PS3 and we paid a lot for nothing that would really help games imo
