The reason why I called you fool is because what you said was outlandish, just like some of the outlandish comments for butthurt hermits in here who try to say that games like UC and GOW3 look meh when they have won awards and have been praised by other developers for graphics all over the industry.

To try and reign the conversation back to UE4; going to clarify something to the people comparing it to Samaritan.

UE3's Samaritan tech demo was aimed at impressing gamers to try and get them to rally for more powerful next gen consoles. The UE4 stuff we have seen was primarily designed to show off new features to developers.

Bingo. It's not to show the full power of the engine but the range of its capablities. Samaritan was just to show off and really strain the engine.

Also what a developer sees and what a gamer sees are very different. We just see the demo at face value and overall realism but I think the devs look deeper and when they say "It blows samaritan away" they could mean it in a totally different way.

Samaritan is more impressive because it features a realistic environment so you can instantly judge how photorealistic it is.

Avatar is photorealistic but some people can't accept it because the designs are cartoonish.

I would love to see what samaritan could look like running through UE4 with the new lighting and different shaders present. The pic with the gold and silver statues, the light seems to bounce and cast a lot better

Seeing what Adhesive games is capable of on UE3 with Hawken. What ever they make with UE4 will blow my socks off :)

Judging by some of these comments,I would say Cows value graphics the most,even more than Hermits...

in engine =/= in game or real time. Especially in Uncharted's case
