[QUOTE="Metalscarz"][QUOTE="Ninja-Hippo"] Why would i be here, saying i was underwhelmed by L4D2 if i haven't played it? What do i have to gain out of that situation? Lots of people have said some variation of 'Left 4 dead is the ultimate co-op game' but i really dont agree with that at all. What makes it the ultimate co-op game? What intrinsic elements does it have which make its co-op play so much better than everything else? It's a good game. It has 4 player co-op. I dont see how that makes it the greatest co-op experience ever. jg4xchamp
Greatest ever? I dunno, but what makes it great is the high production values of the game itself, and that team work is required to win. If you like the idea of a Zombie Apocolypse, team based FPS, I don't see how the game could be much better.
The campaigns have multiple paths, and the "hordes" and enemy types/difficulty adjust to you as you play, enhanicing replability.
The game plays smooth, has modest system requirements, and good size community and free updates on he PC anyway.
Also why does everyone blame Valve full stop for L4D. L4D is Turtlerock studios, and Valve bought them up. It's not like they put the HL team on L4D, and gave up on HL.
It's good and all but, high production values? I would say the production values weren't the strong point of L4D 1 and 2. Maybe bad choice of words but I mean it plays nice. Solid framerate, good level design, minimal crashes and glitches. It's not haphazardly thrown togetherr even if its not cutting edge.
