TV Box having not games. why is this a surprise? Wait two years and Xbone will have as many exclusives as 360's getting per year but no matter what it'll get exclusive shits with every single CoD until next gen so enjoy

Lol. The Xbox brand and football are extremely popular. Even if you have no idea what the xbox one is this commercial will catch NFL and XBOX fans attention. Now in an entire day of football I have not seen this commercial on TV, I think that's where MS is screwing up

Average Joe consumers will see this and go "PS4 and X1 are the next game consoles...but the X1 also does other things, cool." Not how us at SW will look at it but its how average joe will look at it.

But everyone already knows it's a games console, so why would you NOT advertise the additional features and stuff people might not know about?

Not popular enough to make someone spend 500 bucks on the system then subscribe to xbl just to be able to do fantasy football though. Xbox fans already know about the xbox one though, so there is no point to that. Not to mention current xbox fans are fans because they game on the xbox.

Too late to the punch. People already have tablets / phones , etc for managing their fantasy league crap. as well as DTV & Sunday Ticket &/or NFL Redzone channel...........etc........ Why spend another $500.. If they were advertising features like this on 360, then maybe.

Nowhere in the commercial does it say it's $500 + an XBL subscription.. Perfect marketing.. deal with it..

What would a PS4 commercial show? Killzone and Driveclub? That won't sell consoles son. They might be great games but that commercial won't sell crap

Only fanboys think its bad. MS are great at marketing. Maybe instead of criticizing MS, you should encourage Sony to do the same because it works. These consoles do MORE than games, how will the average consumer know if you dont advertise? Word of mouth isnt powerful enough to spread the word about features. At most.......what, it gets you 1million hits, viewers, or consoles sold? Then what? Advertising reaches hundreds of millions every time it is shown. Get over yourself and wake up. Not every ad has to be about games, they also need to show how they are different from PS4. Since most games are multiplat.............you promote features.

I'm sure Sony will have adverts where decapitated robot babies fight off aliens and it all makes absolutely no sense nor shows the product off in any way. Cows will say they're brilliant.

MS is great at marketing. The massive failures of Windows Phone, Zune, Bing and Surface are proof of their "great" marketing.

Actually, to track fantasy, they just use their phone. Xbox One is solving problems nobody has and Apple answered years ago. Spend 500 bucks to track fantasy on your TV, or do it with the Widgets your TV has built into it or on your iPhone which is what you've done for the past 2-3 years...

What the ad didn't do is show why Xbox One makes watching football better than it is now. Instead it's just saying "oh yeah, you can track Fantasy* (*NFL.COM LEAGUES ONLY) and Skype with your "friends" while watching the game! $500! THIS IS NEXT GEN TRUST US IT REALLY IS EVEN THOUGH YOUR PHONE DOES IT BETTER"

GENIUS.

No one here needs an ad to tell them anything about any console. We're all core gamers who have known how we felt months ago.

This ad is for other people, not really interested in a purely core gaming experience. Hence why it focuses on another aspect of this Video Game console.

Hardly true, and you'll see with the playstation (in fact we already have) that the TV/media side of the PS4 is important as well.

Why do you think Sony dedicated so much of their E3 to social features, TV, moves etc?

Yeah, and how many Non gamers watched that?

This forum is full of little moaning girls.

It's like you morons don't know the perpous of advertisements. Why invest all that money in ads to only appeal to the basement dwellers who have already made up their small minds? Everyone here has made up their mind, or are at a point where an ad isn't going to change it.

We have already seen all the unique exclusives, and know all the games that will be available, so why show invest money to show them again on national/international TV?

A better ad would start with a football fan playing Madden on his GLORIOUS XBOX ONE. A message prompt tells him the BIG GAME is about to start. "Xbox TV" he says and it switches to Broncos/Ravens while pausing his game for him to resume later. The game commences and friends come over. The Broncos score a touchdown and a Skype call comes in. "Xbox, Answer call" ITS DAVE FROM BALTIMORE! HOW ABOUT THAT> "Yo, that catch was lucky!" Our gracious host laughs and thanks him and invites him to play Madden later. The game resumes. With that touchdown, Mr. Xbox One owner is wondering about his fantasy. "Xbox, Fantasy" WOW. HIS FANTASY TEAM INFO COMES UP. 6 points and yardage. FCCCCCK YEAH. The game ends. His friends leave except one. The guy he was playing madden with. "Xbox, Game" and the continue playing football. FIN There's one Microsoft. An ad that had a game and showed the versatility of your console and it could be done in 45 seconds. Thank me later.
