Can one person tell me what that ad is showing the X1 can do (that you can't do better eslewhere with shit you already have)?  Please?

Chutebox
Nothing but it consolidates it into one place. Most people are glued to the TV on sundays and this shows your skype, fantasy football and NFL all in one place. Is it necessary? No. But neither is your tablet when you have a PC. Neither is a smart phone, but these novelty items are really attractive to a lot of consumers

What they are saying is, buy the X1 and your favorite football team will win The Superbowl. In your case, you buy the X1 and the Redskins are world champions next year. Very clever marketing I must say.

Yeah all 300 million Americans tune into a console reveal... what's the point of any commercial everything can be read about on these forums

Yeah you want to let 300 million American to know that your console can do NFL before they know that it can play games too.

More people watch NFL than play xbox so yeah, that's what you want to do genius

[QUOTE="rjdofu"][QUOTE="the330and419"] That's not fvckin' football, you know it.[QUOTE="-Snooze-"]

No one here needs an ad to tell them anything about any console. We're all core gamers who have known how we felt months ago.

This ad is for other people, not really interested in a purely core gaming experience. Hence why it focuses on another aspect of this Video Game console.

-Snooze-

They had the whole effing first reveal conference about that already.

Yeah, and how many Non gamers watched that?

This forum is full of little moaning girls.

It's like you morons don't know the perpous of advertisements. Why invest all that money in ads to only appeal to the basement dwellers who have already made up their small minds? Everyone here has made up their mind, or are at a point where an ad isn't going to change it.

We have already seen all the unique exclusives, and know all the games that will be available, so why show invest money to show them again on national/international TV?

If they know all the exclusives, chances are, they've already known about the NFL; and what's more appealing to your GAMING console than NFL right . And fvckin' lol @ showing NFL on international TV.

A better ad would start with a football fan playing Madden on his GLORIOUS XBOX ONE. A message prompt tells him the BIG GAME is about to start. "Xbox TV" he says and it switches to Broncos/Ravens while pausing his game for him to resume later. The game commences and friends come over. The Broncos score a touchdown and a Skype call comes in. "Xbox, Answer call" ITS DAVE FROM BALTIMORE! HOW ABOUT THAT> "Yo, that catch was lucky!" Our gracious host laughs and thanks him and invites him to play Madden later. The game resumes. With that touchdown, Mr. Xbox One owner is wondering about his fantasy. "Xbox, Fantasy" WOW. HIS FANTASY TEAM INFO COMES UP. 6 points and yardage. FCCCCCK YEAH. The game ends. His friends leave except one. The guy he was playing madden with. "Xbox, Game" and the continue playing football. FIN There's one Microsoft. An ad that had a game and showed the versatility of your console and it could be done in 45 seconds. Thank me later.LordOfPoms

Now that's good advertisment!

Not on but through it. It has an HDMI IN port so that you can connect your cable or satelite to it, and your xbox will receive the feed and implement all the other features on top of it.

If the leaked xbox OS on youtube is any indication. It actually looks pretty sweet. Very cool in an unessesary but cool sort of way. Uncessesary but cool is how technology moves forward.. That's just how it is.

Nah they will go "PS4 for the game, X1 for the NFL", and the X1 will get fvcked everywhere else outside of America.

LMAO everywhere huh, lets not forget the great marketing M$ is doing with FIFA 14 free, and FIFA 14 exclusive content for XBone...come on guys lol. As for lems folling M$ evil rule and M$ don't care about them, well if that's true why did M$ make all the changes to the XBone to not lose those customers that were complaining? Don't say the money as we all know the M$ could care less about the BILLIONS they have invested in the XBone, that's nothing to them after all their main goal according to M$ was to push the Playstation out of the market of gaming at any cost many years ago. I will enjoy games on both the PS4 and XBone. The main reason im buying both is to keep the competition around because if a company has no competition in the market than they would have no drive to make a BETTER product.

I do and if it does fantasy better than pc/phones or games better than or as good as nfl ticket, sure. I just don't see it catching with NFL watchers. And not against at all, it just isn't much of a selling point to me.

You still need your NFL ticket. You would connect your satelite box to the xbox one (it has an HDMI IN) and it would lay all the features on top of the feed from the cable box. It allows seamless transition between games TV and other apps. It's actually pretty neat. Is it necessary? No.. But it's cool and that's how technology moves forward

I love fanboys, who cares about a NFL commercial for XBone during an NFL game, it makes sense. Both systems will be great trust me both will have must play games so why not play them no matter what system the games are on lol... I better stop, the Cows and Lems can not compute logic unless its in TFLOPS and then them Lems think TFLOPS are like gulf scores and Cows think they win as its PS4 has more POWA lol clearly the case with PS2>xbox / Wii>360>PS3 in terms of sales as that's what wins the war lmao

Not surprising. Both Microsoft and Sony are both trying to sell their consoles as more than just video games. The first PS4 commercial didn't exactly have games in it either.

Whoa man. Youre not allowed to use your brain around here man.  That commercial made its debut during the broncos/ravens game. It would have made a ton more sense to show some clips of killer instinct and ryse to people that are watching football.

Or maybe Madden. I mean, there's the slam dunk.

Madden is a multiplat. Youre trying to showcase something exclusive to the X1.

Honestly both want more than just gamers, no surprise that a COMPANY in the GAMING industry would like new customers to buy their product. NFL customers, TV Customers, Entertainment such as movies, music, fun apps, and so much more, why would they not boast it to ALL those markets?

Except there's nothing the football fan wants on X1 in terms of exclusive and Madden is a better system seller, especially given the context of that commercial. It would be a massive slam dunk, even if there's the issue of "well you can get Madden on 360."

[QUOTE="kingtito"][QUOTE="Chutebox"] Everyone who gets into fantasy football uses a PC or their phone. This will do shit.Kaz_Son
Never under estimate the casual. Being able to check your players and fantasy without having to get on your PC is a big plus. Stop trying to pretend like you speak for everyone that plays fantasy sports.

Casuals don't buy $500 consoles at launch.

But he's right. Anyone who plays fantasy uses their phone which is 100% more convenient for fantasy purposes. The Xbox One is only going to track NFL.Com league, not ESPN/Yahoo!/RotoWorld, so it's basically useless because Yahoo and ESPN are the leaders in terms of fantasy apps/usage.

Can one person tell me what that ad is showing the X1 can do (that you can't do better eslewhere with shit you already have)? Please?

Chutebox

Im assuming you live in America, rule #1: the more NFL access the better. If my fridge could have a real time score tracker I'd give it one ...

I do and if it does fantasy better than pc/phones or games better than or as good as nfl ticket, sure. I just don't see it catching with NFL watchers. And not against at all, it just isn't much of a selling point to me.

Key words. It isn't much of a selling point to YOU. Doesn't mean many many others think the same way.

I don't play fantasy football cause I root for teams not players but if I did I would like the added ability.

If millions of idiots are willing to spend 500-600+ dollars on Ipads and accessories, then there is a market for the xbone.

Average Joe consumers will see this and go "PS4 and X1 are the next game consoles...but the X1 also does other things, cool." Not how us at SW will look at it but its how average joe will look at it. Spartan070
the casual gamer will listen to word of mouth. The ps4 is the system everyone recommends. Casuals goes for what hot. Plus the early release date. Plus 100$ cheaper.

Their parents will if they think they can get some use out if it while the kid is at school.

Yes they do. Don't think all casuals are as poor as you. $500 isn't a lot considering the price of tablets these days. Casuals can and do spend money. Not everyone that has a console pre-ordered is a so called "hard core" gamer.

Why do you guys always try and speak for EVERYONE? You have NO idea what other people would do. If I had the option to us my TV to check fantasy scores, watch games and Skype all without having to lift a finger? I'd find those options very nice and useful as would anyone else.
